Assess Your Company’s Impact


Before you can begin to plan a specific way to
green your business, you have to know both
your company's impact on the environment
and level of environmental awareness.

need to jump onboard with a sustainability plan.

Step Three:
Building the Sustainability Plan


By looking back at your initial assessment of
the company’s impact, you can now begin to
gather employees who are interested in going
green and brainstorm ideas to do so.



Take all employee suggestions
and determine your company’s
goals. Then ask yourself if a goal
moves your company in the right
direction, if it is flexible, if it
makes business sense, and if
there will be a quick return on
investment.

Once you have a list of goals your
company wants to pursue, you
can begin to create action steps to
pursue said goal.

shoulders of the employees. Without a change in their
behavior, the plan will remain stagnant and no greening will
