- 4. 4 © 2017 Citrix • IDC 16th March 2017: Worldwide Augmented and Virtual Reality Headset Market Expected to Grow at a Compound Annual Rate of 58%, Reaching 99.4 Million Units in 2021 “For enterprise users, AR and VR is expected to raise productivity, allowing workers to see and interact with data, like a building blueprint or the organs of a human being, instead of viewing a static image on a screen. “ “Vertical markets, such as manufacturing and design, health care, transportation, and retail stand to benefit the most.” • Expensive devices, complex and valuable datasets/IP. Big use case for AR is mobility. All are classic “Secure Delivery of Apps and Data” scenarios. Yeah it’s cool, but why do we care? It’s just for games right?

Session output to 3D environment using OpenGL.
