  2. IMERYS MINERALS LIMITED – CARBONATES DIVISION http://www.imerys-carbonates.com IMERYS is a €3.8B international company, supplying high-performance minerals to many diverse markets. A division of Imerys – is the Carbonates Group, producing functional additives that are essential for many industries, principally plastics & polymers, film, paper, paint, sealants & adhesives. IMERYS CARBONATES SALES MANAGER UK & IRE (2014 – PRESENT) Having impressed the European Senior Directors during several presentations, it was clear my communications skill were not being fully utilised as an Operations Manager. The move to sales was agreed in 2013 and I quickly took responsibility for all the sales into every market within the UK & Ireland. Achieved 130% of budget volume in 2015, bringing in several new customers, including the largest customer ever supplied by the UK’s production site. Able to accurately forecast and budget volumes in order for the operations to efficiently plan their production schedules. Capable of obtaining and maintaining customer loyalty, even when asking for annual price increases. OPERATIONS MANAGER 2003 - 2013 Originally employed as Deputy Manager for the UK Production plant, I demonstrated quantifiable management skills which led to my promotion to Operations Manager within 18 months. Later in 2011, I carried out the dual role of Sales & Operations Manager, until finally becoming 100% sales focused in 2014. Reporting to the European Carbonates Director based in France, I built a strong relationship and level of trust, that his visits to site were just once a year. Was responsible for 25 employees and a processing plant that operated 24-7. Forecasted and budgeted finances was an integral part of my role, being accountable for a £5.5Million turnover, recovering £1M gross margin for the business. This involved compiling monthly excel spreadsheets matching actual against budget data for the European Executive Management team and Financial Controller. During the 2009 downturn, reduced staff by 45% to ensure the manning levels met production requirements. This saved the company over £300k in annual costs. Taking full charge of the responses to customers, I implemented a number of significant improvements that resulted in a 90% reduction in overall customer complaints over a 2 year period. This was a joint venture between ABF and the Australian company, Burns Philp. AB Mauri supplied 40% share of the Yeast market in Great Britain, Belgium & Holland. As Shift Manager, I successfully controlled all on-site factory operations (and off-site distribution out of normal office hours). I gained a firm understanding of the nature of short product life, ever changing customer demands and critical production deadlines that were needed to be met in the food industry.
