Methodology
Nominees must be a Chief Financial Officer
or equivalent with either a public or private
organization. The CFOs can either
selfnominate themselves or be nominated
by their team or company management
board representatives in 6 different
categories
• Planning and budgeting
• Strategy for development of the finance
• function
• Community involvement
• Liquidity and risk
• Control and reporting
• Overall achievement
Applications are reviewed by an independent
panel of judges, comprising successful
business leaders, academics and other
financial organizations representatives.
The judges select up to 18 Applicants
(3 in each category), among which the
finalists are selected and awarded at a
special ceremony CFO of the Year.
