38. Prasanna De Silva is a great hero who rarely comes into media
limelight. He spearheaded the liberation of Eastern Sri Lanka
from the LTTE, which began in Mavil Aru in 2007. He was then a
Colonel and was in command of the Army’s elite Brigade Special
Forces which was successful in assassinating several high-level
commanders of the LTTE in LTTE-held territory. As a result of his
success, he has become a major threat to LTTE during Srilankan
Civil War and made it to their ‘high priority’ hitlist.

place had more fans than their stadium could hold. Due to the
over-crowding, some fans started sitting on the walls that
