basis. What do you think are the causes or effects of this condition? Plan your

Causes that Make Children Play Computer Games
Nowadays there are many people have access to computers on a wide basis
and a large number of children play computer games for long hours on a
regular basis this is because the technology of today have improve compare
to the pass. Computer has become a different type of entertainment to us.
They have changed how we connect with our friends and family, and how
much time we spend in physical quests. There are many causes that make
children play computer games for long hour such as lack of love from their
family, peer influence, depression from the school.
First, the reason why children play computer game for long hours is because
they are lack of love from their family, according to the Journal of Youth and
Adolescence, children play computer games have poorer relationships with
family. The relationship between student and parents will worsen when
students used more time on playing computer games for example their
parents are busy with working so they distance themselves with
communicating from each others was mention by (Vivo, 2015). Settings to
play computer games and not having interactions with family could cause
young children to pay more attention on video games. As a result, both
parents and children will struggle communicating due to miscommunications.
Hence, parents play an important role and responsibility to communicate with
their children.
Secondly, the other reason why children play computer game for long hours is
because of peer influence. Friend influence is not necessarily a bad thing. We
all are influence by our friend, in both negatively and positively, at any age but
mostly at the age of teenage. For children, school and other activities make
them get away from home which resulting us that spend more time with your
friends than you do with your family members has mentioned by
(Headsup.scholastic.com, 2008). If you met with bad influence friend, they
might influence you in a more negative ways. Playing violent video games
online such as Grand Theft Auto or even Warcraft can be some of the bad
examples they can influence you, as the game mechanism are more towards
killing and usage of drugs or alcohol. Influence can be really difficult to
withstand where it has become a tension and you may feel being forced to do
something you are uncomfortable with, for examples, taking drugs or
2. smoking. Children could not make a correct judgment and decision on their
own. However, when they have to make judgment in the heat of the time their
selection are often influenced by external factors like friends highlighted by
(Dr. B. J. Casey,2008). Thus, children have to control their behavior and
would not be affected by peer easily.
Furthermore, the another causes is depression from the school. For instance,
school teachers who give loads of homework will stress the students up.
Homework related doubt and stress could affect homework variously. Stress
causes lack of sleep, slipping grades, fatigue, unhealthy eating habits,
depression, and many more factors. According to (Homework,2015) Children
who experienced from mental health problems such as stress and depression
were capable to express their dissatisfaction and offensive by playing video
games. Computer games don't just gave comfort from emotional pain but they
can also assist those who are suffering from physical pain. Therefore,
University of Washington developed a game that helps patients torture from
great physical pain by using an age-old mental trick: distraction that’s why
children will play computer game under the causes of depression from the
school has suggested by (Gallagher, 2013). As a result, school should not
give too much of depression to children.
Lastly, I personally think that playing computer games have many advantages
and disadvantages capability in learning from computer games. Children who
plays computer games for up to an hour a day has less hyperactive.
Computer games also offer endless convenience to investigate with different
personalities and ways of behaving, in a conceiving world where there are no
real life consequences for being defeated. If children control the time of
playing computer games then it will be a very useful tool to help them to
release the stress from any situation.
