What People Are Saying About SolarWinds
Time-Saving Applications
“VNQM is one of the best tools since VoIP was introduced! I am able to track down VoIP
issues, jitter, MOS, latency, etc in 0 seconds flat!”

“VNQM allows us to monitor our VoIP links and resolve issues before the customer can report
it.”

Patch Manager seemed to have the lowest barrier to entry and learning curve for the
functionality we desired. We refer to the reporting constantly, entire plants that didn't have
any update system now do, 3rd party programs are up to date resulting in NO malware
infections on 600+ computers since implementation. We currently update/deploy 23 non-
Microsoft ®programs through Patch Manager.

What People Are Saying About SolarWinds
Time-Saving Applications
“When asked if we took away the SolarWinds IP Address Manager and had the team go back to doing
everything manually in spreadsheets, there was a long pause, followed by the response, ‘There would
be mutiny.’”*
Healthcare Company, EMA Whitepaper
IPAM: “While improved operational efficiency is the most apparent benefit, the unexpected
advantage in aiding to troubleshoot a DHCP problem was extremely valuable. Also, the complete and
accurate count of each and every IP device touching the network provided a level of detail that was
missing previously. With this additional knowledge, the provider is able to resolve issues more quickly
when they do occur.”*
Healthcare Company, EMA Whitepaper
We have been using Solarwinds Orion® SAM for URL monitoring only and that URL monitoring was
mostly just up/down checking. But we recently had a Linux server that we couldn't install a
monitoring agent on but needed to be monitored (mostly log file type monitoring), so we put the
server in both NPM and SAM, NPM handled the server stats such as CPU, HDD, and MEM while SAM
monitors the log files using the Keyword/Phrase Monitor. What was once a "Dang it! How are we
going to monitor this server the way they want!" turned into "SW Orion SAM is awesome!“
