1. Introduced in he middle of XX century. First popular arcade games were early amusement
park midway games – shooing galleries, ball toss games and coin-operated machines.
In 1966, Sega introduced a submarine simulator and light gun shooter, called
Periscope, which became a worldwide success in Japan, Europe and North America. It was the
first arcade game to cost a quarter per play.

3. The first generation of video game consoles began in
1972 with the Magnavox Odyssey (created by Ralph

The second generation began four years later, in
1974 with the release of Fairchild Channel F.
Then they were still improved and developed through
