This document summarizes information presented by Lauris Leitāns from the State Plant Protection Service Agrochemical Department Agrochemical Laboratory in Latvia at the First Meeting of the Regional Soil Laboratory Network for Eurasia and Europe. There are 10 accredited soil laboratories in Latvia, including 8 for soil pollution analysis and 2 for soil fertility/plant nutrients. The Latvian laboratory is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 standards and participates in proficiency testing programs. The goals of the meeting and GLOSOLAN network include exchanging information and experiences with other laboratories and developing standard operating procedures.
