9. Soil analysis in your country
How many routine laboratories exist in your
country? We have two big labs in Estonia. Our
lab performs mainly forest soil analyses and
the other agricultural soils analyses.
Are they ‘mobile’ laboratories? No they are
not.
Are soil test kits commonly used? We do
not use test kits.

10. Proficiency testing (PT)
Has your lab joined a proficiency testing (PT)
program?
ICP Forests (International Co-operative Program on
Assessment and Monitoring of Air Pollution Effects
on Forests) soils and soil solutions
WEPAL/SETOC (Nederland) sediments
LGC Standards, Aquacheck (UK) agricultural soils,
sludge

11. Accreditation/certification
Does your laboratory have any accreditation or
certification? If yes, which institution/agency
provides accreditation/certification?
Our lab is accreditated according to ISO/IEC
17025:2006 by Estonian Accreditation Centre (Full
Member of European co-operation for
Accreditation)

12. Strength/weakness
What do you think your lab is strong at?
We are well equipped and have skilled
personnel.
What do you think it could be improved?
The quality of the analyses can always be
improved.

13. What are your expectations out of this meeting and
GLOSOLAN?
We are looking for new partners and new good ideas!
