There are many many conferences and events on health innovations all over the world. It might be a difficult job to find which one is specifically interesting for you.
I’ve selected 10 European health conferences (+ 1 extra) you should not miss as a health entrepreneur.
2. Hack Belgium
28-30 MARCH, BRUSSELS
It’s the largest hackathon in Belgium, organised around many different topics.
It has a specific challenge on the future of hospitals together with In4Care-for
sure a challenging topic. Just think about hospital networks, security in
hospitals, follow up of patients at home, or stress and burnout prevention for
doctors.

3. HIMMS Liège
1-3 APRIL, LIEGE
The Belgian conference of the international HIMMS ( (Healthcare Information
and Management Systems Society), the largest healthcare IT management
organisation in the world. At this second edition, HIMMS Liège brings patients
closer to hospitals through information and technology.

4. Public Health Next step
11 APRIL, UTRECHT
Dutch Conference for new perspectives on prevention and health
education. One day conference with interesting tracks: for example on public
space and health, health prevention and loneliness.
Several formats to present a paper or research, to be interviewed or to pitch
your solution at the inspiration market.

5. DMEA
9-11 APRIL, BERLIN
New name of the well-known health IT event CohnIT opening up to digital
health. DMEA is taking place in the Berlin Messe and is supported by a bunch of
health (IT) corporates as Compugroup, Agfa, Siemens Healthiniers, Rhenus
logistics, 3M, Cerner, …
It’s a massive fair combined with an interesting academic and startup program.
Students, researchers and startups aiming to present a paper or wanting to
compete for the newcomer award should wait for next year (applications are
closed now).
Startups still can book their place at the startup cafe or the mobile health zone.
DMEA also has country areas, with exhibitors from Austria and Switzerland for
example.
You should not miss DMEA if you want to reach out to the German market -the
largest in Europe!

6. DIGITAL HEALTH
WORLD CONGRESS
7-8 MAY, LONDON
Large conference on all aspects of digital health: a program with visions on IoT
in health, latest trends and use cases on digital support of diabetes, insights on
the health market and results of the NHS accelerator.
Speakers from corporates and scaleups alike.

7-9 MAY, GENEVE
For those exploring and working in smart foods– a growing health market in the
years to come.
Vitafoods first of all is a massive exhibition area. Visitors can source high-
quality ingredients, raw materials, service or nutraceutical products from over
1,200 global suppliers. Visitors come from 110 countries to do business, but
also to follow an education program. Organised around 11 trends, you can
follow summits on: food technology, personalised nutrition, mental wellness,
sports nutrition, …

8. ARCTIC15
5-6 JUNE, HELSINKI
Their headline is ‘action matters’. And although health is not their only focus,
the Nordic and Baltic health ecosystem has proven to be top last years.
Arctic15 is a networking startup conference in the Nordics and the Baltics,
combining intensive matchmaking sessions with a program full of
interesting speakers and a straightforward funding program for startups.
Arctic15 is joined by many European investors, so it really is an opportunity to
meet, learn and get feedback if you’re looking for a deal.
Nordic pre-seed and seed startups can apply for the funding program, closely
working together with Nordic investors during 3 months and culminating to a
signed deal at Arctic15. Easy to apply (before 20 March), work straight ahead

9. HIMSS and Health 2.0
Europe Conference
11-13 JUNE, HELSINKI
It will be busy in Helsinki in June. If you can not attend Arctic15 or want more
detailed information on data and artificial intelligence, you can register for the
European HIMSS conference, joining forces with the Health 2.0 network in the
capital of Finland.
This is a conference with innovation use cases, workshops, and sessions on the
harnessing of data and AI: beyond the buzz.

This health technology event gathers all stakeholders within the
health ecosystem-thus very very interesting to join. It’s a festival, rather than a
conference, with inspiring and creative innovators showing leading health tech

It’s also the place for Beanstalks: a top health startup competition for prizes in

Leading international trade fair and world forum for medicine in this city along

12. BRAINTECH
4-5 MARCH, TEL AVIV
It brings you the newest insights in brain research and brain technology, one of
the most challenging fields in healthTech. It has speakers and
posters (+ poster prices)on neuro wellness, digital brain health and
therapeutics, brain stimulation and neuromodulation, to name some. It has
a startup competition and startup pavilion. And every two years it gathers the
top of the brain innovation community in one of the major HealthTech scale-up
countries: Israel.
So, although strictly speaking, Braintech is not a European conference, it’s
definitely worth joining or at least following the conference (use #braintech).
