What is integrity?
❖Integrity is the quality of being honest and
having strong moral principles.
❖In ethics,integrity is regarded by many people
as honesty,truthfulness or accuracy
of one’s action.
How to develop integrity?
● Be Honest
● Be Truthful
HONEST
Honesty has two aspects:
★ Truthfulness
Meeting responsibilities concerning
truth-telling
★ Trustworthiness
Meeting responsibilities concerning
trust
Honesty in acts
It includes
❏No stealing
❏Not engaging in bribes
In simple words respect for the property of
others
Honesty in speech
● It means not deceiving others
● Not withholding the information that one has
to know
More positively honesty in speech means
being candid.
Truthfulness
● Its the fact of being realistic or true to life
Stand up for what is truth and right
even if you are standing alone.
Indications that you lack integrity
➔Your self-esteem rises and falls with the
opinion of others.
➔You’re hiding things.
➔You make too many compromises.
➔You failed to do what you said that you were
going to do.
Why Integrity?
Reasons why integrity should be your quality:
1. Trust
2. Responsible
3. Respect
4. Authentic
