DLR IOT RF Mesh • Initial proposal for RF mesh creation looked at 1000 nodes on public light lanterns –this is the backbone • More nodes = stronger mesh • Low-data devices do not need WiFi. – WiFi • Energy expensive • Short range • RF Mesh – Up to 300m range – Low energy – Not stopped by trees or buildings
