3. CONTEXT: Growing need for products and services closer to the
needs and environment of the end-user/citizen. Connecting all
creative forces in Ghent is a challenge.
4. PROBLEM: Lots of people and stakeholders in Ghent have ideas.
Good ideas. Ideas they boast of at twitter, facebook, online
newspaper forums. But it are great however stand-alone ideas. So
they disappear in the fog of the world wide web.
5. STRATEGY: Bring people and creative digital forces together and
ASK THEM what method would be useful and what topics should
be addressed.
6. SOLUTION: The Ghent Living Lab. A network of citizens, local
digital agencies and (digital) creative forces, researchers and the
local government. Using a brand new and interactive website as
community management tool.
7. REFLECTIONS: Retention of stakeholders and challenges will be a
challenge! /* EU projects: SMARTiP and Citadel…on the move /* A
balance between technological and non-technological solutions in
local service delivery. /* EUROCITIES Annual Conference: 27 – 29
November 2013, Ghent.
