C. CAREER OBJECTIVES
To become an experienced and internationally recognised Water and Wastewater
Expert able to work under any circumstance, both developed and developing
nations. Currently studying Masters in Philosophy Degree in Wastewater Civil
Engineering part time with University of Zimbabwe August 2011 to December
2016. Published several paper in peer reviewed journalwith high impact factors.
My completion of Masters in Philosophy Degree was partly affected by
commitmentsto the organisation (City of Harare – HarareWater Department) and
being a carrier degree functionality of the Sewage Plant under study.

1. Three merit appointmentsas follows:-
a. 2006 Meritappointment to Acting Technical Services Manager by
Engineer Michel Jarawaza a jump from Grade7 to Grade4
b. 2008 Meritappointment to Wastewater Manager by Engineer
Muyambo
c. 2014 Meritappointment to 24/7 Water Coordinator by Dr Tendai
Mahachi
2. Acting Director Harare Water on several occasions 2014 to 2016
E. WORK EXPERIENCE
1. 1996 – 2016 - 20 years in Water and Wastewater for Harare
Municipality and Zimbabwe National Water Authority.
2. Resident engineer to several civil engineering projects i.e. construction of
Budiriro pump station, sewage and water treatment plants rehabilitation
works.
3. Responsible for Harare’s water and wastewater infrastructure with a total
population of approximately 2.5 million. Responsibilities include
recommendation on town planning issues, divisional budgets, and
supervision of engineers, recommending projects and making strategic
decisions.
4. 2012 to 2016 Masters in Philosophy studies achievements so far:-
a. Firle Sewage Works wastewater characterisation – published a paper
with Elsevier 2013 presented findings in Johannesburg South Africa
b. Firle Sewage Works wastewater fractionation and calibration of Firle
BioWin Model – Published apaper withElsevier 2014 presented findings
in Dares salaam Tanzania
c. Assessment of current performance and efficiency of the system and
identification of problem areas at Firle Sewage Works – presented
findings at a Water reuse Symposium (Poster Presentation) in 2014.
d. HarareWater challenges astrategic issue assessment– Presentedapaper
at the Institute of MunicipalEngineers of Southern Africa Port Elizabeth

Works to create and manage Technical Services Division responsible for
monitoring all Department of Works Divisional performances

Water Coordinator leading Harare Water team as a reform program for
Harare, seconded to EThekwini municipality on a staff exchange program
a. Initiated program to identify all stuck and non-functional water
meters and replacement program
13. Acted in the capacity of Harare Water Director on several occasions
achievements include
a. 2016 RBM and set the departmental strategic framework and
connected several properties that were not on billing records
b. 2014 Repaired Bulk Water Meters for water balancing (Warren
Control, Norton and Chitungwiza Bulk Meters)
c. 2015 Initiated a program to count and connect properties that were
not in the billing records
d. 2014 Recommended suspension of non-performing divisional
managers in Harare Water as a means to achieve intended results
e. initiated repairsof bulkwater metersandpressurereducingvalvesfor
the entire city
G. MY FUTURE
Want to turn around Water and Wastewater Systems into more viable entities
and work on technological and financial viability issues process engineering
with an adaptive bias.
