2. Eye care professionals may decide to implement a
series of prisms, which can be utilised where the
hemianopia is situated. It is a clear plastic sheet
which has the ability to be fitted to a host of glasses
which can be easily applied to your glasses. These
temporary prisms can be easily removed and are
placed on the back of your specs.

have a crutch attached to hold up the eyelid.
● Metal frames are used than plastic frames
● This is similar to entropion spectacles.
● Special contact lenses may be used for ptosis. These
lenses help in correcting the drooping of eyelid.
● Moderate to severe Ptosis – In moderate to severe
cases surgery may be the only option to correct the
eyelid.

● Unlike normal eyeglasses, clip-on sunglasses
come with just the two tints, attached by a nose
bridge. This structure, when clipped onto your
normal prescription glasses, gears up to serve as
a pair of prescription sunglasses.

Standard – The standard clip-on sunglasses use a clip on the nose
bridge. The clip facilitates the clip-on sunglasses to hold effectively
onto your prescription glasses.
Flip-up – The unique aspect of flip-on sunglasses is that they don’t
have to be removed and inserted, unlike the other variants. These
types are attached to your prescription glasses using a magnet.
Magnetic – The magnetic clip-on sunglasses attach to the sides of
your prescription glasses by utilising a magnet. They are relatively
more convenient and easy to use as compared to the other variants.

● These are specially designed frame front
● It is a pair of glasses or opera glasses held in front of a person’s
eyes by a long handle at one side.
● The lorgnette was usually used as a piece of jewelry, rather than to
enhance vision. Fashionable ladies usually preferred them to
spectacles. These were very popular at masquerade parties and
used often at the opera. They were worn popularly in the 19th
century.
● .Lorgnettes were made from a range of different materials including
tortoise shell, horn, silver, gold, enamel, and various kinds of
jewels.

● It consists of a circular lens, generally with
a wire ring around the circumference that
can be attached to a string or wire. The
other end of the string is then connected to
the wearer’s clothing to avoid losing the
monocle

● The second style, which was developed in
the 1890s, was the most elaborate, consisting of a frame
with a raised edge-like extension known as the gallery.

edge to provide a grip .

●
A common design for a pair of makeup readers is a frame with
a swiveling lens allowing you to see clearly while you apply
