 As we all know that India is the seventh largest cement-producing country
in the world and the second largest egg producer at the same time we are
the third largest producer of rubber waste.
 as cement releases, a large number of toxic gasses which are hazardous to
our health and environment cement needs to be used economically at the
same time, eggshells and rubber waste also cause soil pollution and affect
the ecology.
 considering those problems we use this waste material in the construction
industry so that we can reduce, reuse and recycle (3R Technique) the waste
material.
 hence cement is partially replaced by eggshell and fine aggregates are
partially replaced by sand.

Toward green concrete for better sustainable environment

The rapid Urbanization and Industrialization all over the world has resulted in the large deposition of Plastic waste and Waste Tyre Rubber. This waste can be utilized under the proper condition to reduce the Cement content in Concrete.M30 concrete is used for most of the constructional works. The strength of these concrete results has compared with concrete obtained of Plastic waste and Waste Tyre Rubber varying from 0% to 20 %.Experimental investigations comprised of testing physical requirements of Coarse Aggregates, Fine Aggregates, Cement and the modifier Waste Plastic and Waste Tyre rubber. M30 concrete design mix considered as per IS 10262-1982. The said percentage of modifier was blended with the cement concrete mix and the optimum modifier content was found. Cubes and Cylinders were casted and tested for 28 days strength. These tests revealed that by adding Waste plastics and rubber as a partial replacement in Fine Aggregate and Coarse aggregate by volume, the strength of concrete decreased. The cube strength decreased as the percentage replacement increased due to their poor binding properties. By using Plastic waste and Waste Tyre Rubber as modifier, we can reduce the quantity of coarse aggregate and fine aggregate by their volume, hence decreasing the overall cost of construction The modified cement concrete can be used in the construction of small drainage works and rigid pavement. Effective utilization of waste plastics can be done for a good cause of protecting the global environment and effective solid waste management.

Industrialisation and population is increasing day by day leading to the increase in the amount of waste plastic. Plastic is a non-biodegradable substance i.e. it is not decomposed by bacteria easily. So, dumping it causes soil pollution which leads to decrease in the fertility of soil. Another way of getting rid of plastic is by burning it, which also produces a lot of harmful gases and leads to increase in air pollution. Soil and air pollution both are harmful for the environment. In the today’s era with the growing expenses, abundant waste material is generated through processing units of stone industry, there is a need to increase awareness by utilizing economical substitutes to solve the problem of these waste. The utilization of crusher dust as fine aggregate for concrete has achieved more attention in recent year due to scary of natural river sand. Today continues efforts are made towards finding the substitute of natural resources. Research is therefore needed to least the environmental damages and to obtain sustainable construction. This review deals with how crusher dust would be utilized to deliver new items as additive for sustainable concrete. This study professed latest research on using crusher dust as replacement of sand in concrete. Effect on fresh and hardened properties of concrete with crusher dust is discussed in this paper

Abstract This paper presents the results, obtained after replacement of fine and coarse aggregates, in concrete mix, with tyre rubber. The tyre rubber, which has been used in the present study, is obtained after the mechanical trituration process of post – consumed tyres from trucks. Researchers have investigated, over the years, the use of recycled tyre rubber waste as a replacement for aggregate in concrete and its effectiveness. “Rubcrete-Mix” which would result from such replacement is found to have many engineering applications and holds promise in future. Rubcrete also possesses good mechanical properties and is considered to be one of the best and economical ways of recycling the used tyres. The present experimental study has the aim of arriving at the optimum quantity of the replacement material for the aggregates in concrete mixtures, for various engineering applications. For achieving a proper bond with the surrounding concrete paste, the recycled aggregates have been designed with respect to their size, shape and gradation. With the water – cement ratio being kept constant fine and coarse aggregate has been replaced with tyre rubber powder and chipped rubber and also cement has been replaced with silica fume. In preparing the concrete, Portland slag cement has been used along with super plasticizer less than 1% by weight of cement to achieve required workability of the resulting concrete. Furthermore, durability studies have been conducted and mixes have been designed for M30 grade concrete. Keywords: Concrete Mix, Mechanical Properties, Rubber Powder, Chipped Rubber, Silica fume.
