The language of flowers, sometimes called floriography, is a means of cryptological
communication through the use or arrangement of flowers. Meaning has been attributed to
flowers for thousands of years, and some form of floriography has been practiced in
traditional cultures throughout the world.
The Language of Flowers
Interest in floriography soared in Victorian England and in the United States during the 19th
century. Gifts of blooms, plants, and specific floral arrangements were used to send a coded
message to the recipient, allowing the sender to express feelings which could not be spoken
aloud in Victorian society. Armed with floral dictionaries, Victorians often exchanged small
"talking bouquets," called nosegays or Tussie-Mussies, which could be worn or carried
as a fashion accessory.
Since ancient times flowers been assigned "secret" meanings and used to convey
feelings that could not be expressed more directly. The Japanese call it Hanakotoba,
and King Charles II brought it to Sweden from Persia in the 17th century.
Hanakotoba is the Japanese name for associating certain flowers with different
meanings. It is an age-old art form. Floriography – a fancy name for the language
of flowers – was coined in the Victorian era, and while its original translations
may have shifted over time, the notion that through flower symbolism we can
express what we want to say
(and may not be able to speak out loud) still holds true.
We sense the personalities of different flowers and intuitively choose one over another to fit our mood or the occasion.
We do it all the time. That's why we surprise someone with a bunch of bright yellow flowers to cheer them up or declare
our fervent passion with two-dozen velvety roses.
What can a wild flower offer you more than its amazing colour or alluring fragrance? A coded message allowing you to
express a feeling which could not be spoken. The language of flowers, sometimes
called floriography, is a Victorian-era means of communication in which various
flowers and floral arrangements were used to send secret messages. This message
was most commonly communicated through Tussie-Mussies or nosegays: small,
round bouquets of herbs and flowers selected with symbolic meanings.

Prosperity consciousness is an inner feeling of goodness. When you feel
good from inside your vibrations are raised and you attract things,
experiences and people who resonate with those vibrations. Vibration is
nothing but energy. Each living or non-living thing has a vibration.
Prosperity
Magick
Begins ...
Let me simplify this, A visit to a mall makes one feel good whereas a visit
to a hospital or graveyard makes one feel low, this happens coz of
vibrations that place has we all are continuously sending vibrations to the
Universe. See the chart below-:
Prosperity consciousness is a vast phenomenon. It encompasses good
health, peace of mind, financial progress and happy relationships.
Here is an exercise that we can begin with.
Prosperity workout:
For the whole month just appreciate
everything you see, for eg even if you had
a fight with your colleague, appreciate the
fact that you stood for yourself. You need
not express appreciation verbally or
written but just feel the appreciation inside
your heart and every core of your being.
I am also sharing an affirmation that you can chant at least 21 times or
more in a day for raising your vibrations

Dr. Meghana N. Dikshit
I recollect one of my clients as he had walked in to De
Mantraa. Rishi, a young, vibrant man in his early 30's
completely distraught with Life. There seemed to be a
sense of mismanagement everywhere and all that
happened in HIS Life has a sense of urgency. I sat
intently listening to his description and what I gathered
was as follows. He was 23 when he had joined a top
notch corporate firm after faring well in his educational
endeavor. Life was perfect! Being a diligent and sincere
employee with a pleasant behavior he soon proved
himself a valuable asset to the organization. On the
personal front too Life was a pleasant fairytale. There
was a sense of balance. Friends, Health, Entertainment,
Family, Money and a glass of good wine! His contacts
were increasing with his trot up the organizational
stairway and so were his responsibilities. His
responsibilities at home increased as well with him
walking the path of marriage. Slowly and before he
realized his Life seemed to have taken a negative slope
on the graph getting from bad to worse over the years.
He seemed to be unable to keep up to any of his
responsibilities and keeping anyone happy was not his
cup of tea anymore. Trying harder with desperation to
surge the tumble was an uphill task and filled him with
what he wanted the least, anger, frustration, insecurities
and a sense of worthlessness.
My Life
My Story
What followed were few of sessions where we explored
the probable reasons behind such change of fortune.
Wanting the best out of Life, like any other person, Rishi
was seen giving his all too every area of his Life. But
what soon started happening with an increase in
responsibilities was a gamble between person and
profession. Procrastination, taking things for granted,
not caring about health, neglecting the importance of
entertainment, and a lot more was filled on the plate.
Stress reined the show. A few Ayurveda therapies,
lifestyle corrections, nutritional guidance and balancing
sessions and complimenting soul therapies restored in
him a sense of well-being and peace. Sessions helped
him explore the vicious cycle that was pulling him
down as well as a step by step guide and mentoring to
break through the cycle to freedom. Restored with now
empowered with this new found awareness and
Mantraa to a healthy and fulfilling life

How to Dress for Success
Dressing for
Success in
Combo Pack
To dress for success implies we are
self-confident, goal-oriented and
determined – all personal
strengths or skills.
Decide what to wear.
Deciding what to wear depends on whether we want to
stand out, stick out or blend in. Standing out in an
interview would be dressing one step above what would
be worn on the job. Sticking out would be wearing a
three-piece suit to a factory job interview. Blending in
would wearing what everyone else is wearing. The
question is whether or not you want to be noticed. And
if you want to be noticed, to what extent? Does it matter
if the attention is negative?
To be dressed appropriately for any occasion, it's
important to know what is generally expected. If you
don't know, ask. There is nothing wrong in asking if the
occasion is casual, business casual, or formal. But keep in
mind that these classifications can vary. Again, if you are
not sure, ask. If told it will be casual, you could ask if
shorts are okay. If told business casual, you could ask if
jeans and a jacket are okay. If told it is formal, you could
ask if a suit, rather than a tuxedo, is okay.
Consider image to be presented.
Once we know what is expected, we can then decide if
we want to blend in, stand out or stick out. If attending
another person's wedding, we may want to just blend in.
If dressing for an interview, we definitely want to stand
out. When trying to make an “over-the-top” statement”
or draw attention to a cause, sticking out is the way to go.
The most important element in presenting a positive
image – a large part of dressing for success – is being
clean and neat. People react to what they see, and an
unwanted first impression may take time and effort to
overcome. Presenting a clear image is the first step in
acquiring the results we are seeking. In addition to what
we wear, a smile shows we are approachable and a good
amount of eye contact shows we are sincere and
interested in what the other person is saying.
Positive Attitude
Trust yourself. Believe you will accomplish the goals you
set and act like the person you want to be. A healthy and a
positive attitude not only improves image, but increase
chances for success by attracting other positive people.
Look for positive interaction and results and you will find
them.
Be prepared.
Dressing for success also includes being – or at least looking
like we are – prepared. Again, this is part of the image.
Walking into an interview or a meeting with a notepad and
pen folder gives the impression of being professional.
(Of course, if you are expected to bring something specific
be sure to bring it. Simply dressing for success can only go
so far toward actually achieving success.)
Use appropriate communication.
Use an appropriate tone of voice and be aware of body
language. Both can send unintended messages. Also pay
some attention to content of the communication. Stay away
from facts you only think are true. Success, beyond looking
the part, involves building mutual trust and respect in
relationships.
Develop the COMBO package.
Dressing for success is not just clothes, it involves a number
of equally important elements. If the other elements aren't
right, the clothes won't matter. Focus on developing the
whole package. And you reach the Winning Circle .

Over the past few weeks, I have noticed a significant difference in the way older and younger people see the importance of experts.
It's a classic generation gap.
People in their 40s or older often seek the help of experts when they face a difficult decision. In most cases, they source the experts
from friends' recommendations. In contrast, my friends and students in their 20s and 30s seem not to value expertise much at all.
When they face big decisions, they poll their friends.
I don't believe this is due to the convenience of reaching out to friends on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. More likely, it has to do
with trust, and the fact fewer young people have peers who are truly world-class experts.
Nevertheless, relying heavily on your friends for big choices in your life is not the right answer.
Don't Rely On Your Friends for Advice
Consistent advice from friends is not the same as expert advice
Take one of my former students. Two weeks ago, I heard from him that he had recently been fired from a job he clearly didn't enjoy.
He realized after only a couple of months on the job that it was not a good fit, but stayed because his friends almost unanimously
recommended that he not leave before one year because it would look bad on his resume.
Don't confuse emotional support with expert advice
Over and over again, I see examples of people taking sub-optimal advice from their friends when making critical life decisions. I see
young people turn down offers after their friends advise them to hold out for the right title. They take this advice, despite the fact
that their friends have had little success themselves, and don't know that title pales in comparison to quality of company when
choosing which company you should work for if you want to build a successful career.
Yesterday, I met a prospective client who built his personal financial plan based on friends' recommendations. None of his friends
had a background in the investment business, but he trusted them nonetheless, because their plans appeared to be well thought out.
He wanted to seek the advice of an expert, but he didn't know how to identify one. Therefore he went with his friends' advice; now
he has a sub-optimal plan.
Emotional support makes it easier for you to carry out a course of action that you've decided is right. But don't mistake it for advice.
Advice helps you make a difficult decision. Both are important, but they are different.
It is highly unlikely friends can provide expert advice, but they can be very useful to help you find experts. I often tap them for
names, especially if I know my friends have faced a problem similar to the one I am concerned with.
Experts are accomplished
I adore my friends, but I don't rely on their judgment to figure out who is an expert in her field. Over my 25 year Venture Capital
career I learned over and over again that resume, especially accomplishment, is the best way to evaluate expertise. Of course you
need to do your due diligence to make sure the accomplishment quoted in a resume is real.
As I pointed out in You learn more from success than failure, only through success can you hone your game. Just because someone
is successful, don't assume they won't engage with you. But don't try to cold call them. Always get an introduction.
When searching for advice, I look for someone who has broad and successful experience in my particular problem area. Why
should I trust someone's opinion if they don't have that experience? I would never go to a surgeon who hadn't faced every possible
problem with my particular injury.
Online celebrities are not necessarily experts
Some people I know confuse celebrity with accomplishment. In the age of social media, people can project a broad profile online
with little real world success to justify their platform. Many of my students mistakenly rely on entrepreneurship blogs that have
been recommended by their friends because they are popular or well written. Just because someone has a popular blog or has
published a book doesn't mean that person is an expert. As I have said before, only through success do you learn the lessons that
really make a difference.
When we set out to build our investment team at Wealthfront, we looked for experts who were well respected and highly successful.
We were fortunate to recruit Burt Malkiel as our Chief Investment Officer and Charley Ellis to our investment advisory board. Burt
is a renowned Princeton economics professor, author of A Random Walk Down Wall Street, the book that launched the index fund
revolution, and a former Vanguard board member for 28 years. Charley founded Greenwich Associates, the most respected strategy
consulting firm to the financial service industry, and also sat on the Vanguard board. He has taught at the Yale School of
Management and Harvard Business School. The kind of knowledge Burt and Charley have cannot be attained in any way other than
through success.
Seek advice from the best to make the best decisions
I know this attitude makes me seem old school. When it comes to my choice of advisors, I am. It's much more convenient to reach
out to friends through social media tools, and solicit their thoughts about just about anything than it is to listen to experts. But just
because polling your friends is convenient doesn't mean it's the right choice.
When you need an advisor, seek experts whose accomplishments give them the perspective to advise.
As I explained in How Long Should You Stay At Your Job?, it doesn't make sense to stay at a job to make your resume look better if
you are unhappy. Unhappiness on the job usually leads to a marked reduction in motivation, which leads to poor performance.
This is in fact what happened, and ultimately resulted in his firing.
“Why didn't you reach out to me when you realized you joined the wrong company?” I asked. He replied that he was too
embarrassed to call, and because he received such consistent answers from his friends. I'm sorry he felt he couldn't come to me,
because I wanted to help. His friends didn't have a broad enough perspective or enough experience to know the right answer.

In this section we will introduce our readers to the soft and humane side of
celebrities who have inspired us. We will also discuss their strong association to
an image or photograph that keeps the celebrity inspired and strong in times of
weakness and struggle.
Parikshet Sahni
It is not every day that you enter the house of a celebrity but you are yourself
treated like one!! That is exactly how we felt on entering Parikshet Sahni sir's
house. He is the epitome of warmth, love and respect.
Inspite of having worked in blockbusters like Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiot and
PK along with memorable roles in Barrister Vinod, Gul Gulshan Gulfam and
Gaatha his down to earth nature and humility is a rare sight in today's world.
Capturing pictures and creating stories
Interestingly, we all know him as an actor but the young
Parikshet, was trained to be a scriptwriter, director and
editor in Europe. He reveres writing the most and when
the script he gave his sweat and blood for over 2 years
was made into a film without due credits to him, it caused
him lot of agony. This hurt stayed dormant for years and
finally resulted in creating his own production house
called Balraj Sahni Production house. The production
house has a young and talented team which is working
on TV serials, children movies and feature films.
Though he is well read, knowledgeable and quoted from
Emerson, Shakespeare and Eckhart Tolle, he believes in
simplicity . He believes in philosopher William James,
“The deepest craving of the human nature is the need to be
appreciated”. A very simple statement yet so profound!
He also quoted the philosophy of Lao Tzu about 'half and
half', which is about being balanced and not being at the
extremes; not to be so famous that you are not accessible
to people nor be so simple that no one recognizes you.
The violin which has very strong strings shall break while
one with loose strings shall not play. His thoughts
resonate with the golden middle path as suggested by
Buddha.
His first passion and what he loves most is writing scripts.
But he also feels that the process of making films or tele
serials helps him unleash his creativity and he also enjoys
the comraderie with his co-actors, crew and audience.
Not many know that his father Balraj Sahni was MA in
English and used to teach at Shanti Niketan. He has also
penned few books on his life experiences. So the genes to
read, study, understand literature and philosophy were
gifted to him from his father.
He emphasized on the power of NOW, something he is
currently working on.
Speaking about one photograph that heals him, motivates
him pushes him forward guides is that of his father
Shri Balraj Sahni in his living room. One could see the
pride of a son coupled with the pain of events that the
family went through almost from the eyes. He spoke
about the pain of partition, the struggles they had to make
to ends meet, his father was in jail and still challenged
himself to make his opponents eat their words in 2 years
and won. He was a man of grit and determination. It
requires great strength to live life and conquer all the
challenges in scaling the peak to stardom. In spite of his
success, he remained humble and an epitome of love.
Besides his love for his family and children, Parikshetji is
very attached to the mountains. He spent his childhood at
the boarding school of Shimla; they even had a cottage
there with a breathtaking view of the mountains. Talking
about the mountains took him into a philosophical mood
and he said life is like scaling the peak of a mountain. The
moment you reach on top, you realize there are higher
ones waiting. So you start all over again to conquer another
one, then another, and yet another and life goes on.
He even has a photograph of the Manali Mountains
captured by him with an old camera, but with just the
exact exposure that even as a photographer I could not
resist appreciating his talent.
To deal with the high stress levels that all of us face in
today's world, he has his own set of modalities. He uses
reading and contemplation, he loves reading the neo
philosophers like Eckhart Tolle, Joseph Murphy, Rhonda
Byrne, and also ancient history. He concludes that we are
nothing but a ripple in the wave of an ocean of life and
humanity. Nothing is too big to be worried about and
nothing is too small to be ignored.
We all are the 'atma' which must be in sync with the
'paramatama' the universal consciousness.
Another wonderful panacea he has found is exercise; he
believes all the diseases on the earth can be cured with
exercise and healthy diet. He loves swimming like his
father, enjoys trekking, jogging, cycling, and most of all
avoid negative, loud and aggressive people from his lives.
Finally he summed up quoting that an actor should have a
heart like a dove and skin like a rhinoceros, though he feels
that the skin of a rhino seems impossible for him to achieve
in this lifetime.
We really feel there are very few gems like
Parikshet Sahniji,

DID U KNOW ?
the alphabet
alphabetized with respect to itself
Today I'm thinking about the alphabet.
Neil deGrasse Tyson pointed out that the alphabet is not
actually in alphabetical order: B (“bee”) starts with b, but
M (“em”) starts with e! If you write each letter out in the
way you pronounce its name, and alphabetize that list,
you might get something like the alphabet Mr. Tyson
tweeted:
A H R B Q D W E F L M N S X G I J K O P C T V Y U Z
But this list is only alphabetical according to the everyday
ABC alphabet. It is not alphabetized with respect to itself
— that is, the names for the letters are not in the AHR
order proposed by this new alphabet.
Here's one that is:
A R H B D W Y E F L M N S X C Q G I J K O P T U V Z
How did I find an ordering for the alphabet that's
alphabetized according to itself?
I'll define a general procedure alphabetize that takes an
ordering of letters, and produces a new, re-alphabetized
alphabet — an orde-ring of letters. I want to find an
ordering that, when I perform alpha-betize, gives me that
same ordering back.
This is called a fixed point of alphabetize. That's fixed as in
affixed: while other orderings change upon application of
the procedure, this special ordering doesn't change — it
stays put. Fixed.
The easiest (but ofttimes ineffective) way to find a fixed-
point is simply to iterate. Keep applying alphabetize to the
result of alpha-betize until the result stops changing.
This will only show you one fixed point — there may be
many — and it's not guaranteed to find one even if one
exists. But for my alphabet problem, it has the added bonus
of finding the fixed point ordering that's closest to our
usual alphabet (provided that's what I start with).

"Spiritual Ecstasy Versus Sensual Pleasures;
Which is better and why?”
“Sensual satisfaction is through the senses, mind, and the intellect; and deals with physical
satisfaction. Try the spiritual ecstasy and see the levels of depths in relationships that one can
reach, both with self and others”-- Aalok
The human is born 'simple' and is to live simple and humane. Do we attempt mechanical
completion and at times have 'just to do it' attitude? We are all aware that the human is
composed of 'Matter' and 'Spirit'. The matter constitutes the senses, mind, and the intellect.
The spirit is composed of the soul that we were born with.
We, humans start identifying ourselves, through the 'Matter' and forget the 'Spirit'. Did you
know that senses, mind, and the intellect (part of the Matter), are all culpable? Surprised? Our
'desires and wants' corrupt them. They have three abodes in the human body- the senses,
mind, and the intellect. When one abode is lost due to human 'elevation', even the intellect,
which is 'bought', comes to their rescue.
Sensual Pleasures
Pleasures for the human are a plenty and they grow each day, in fact each moment. The
human being has a base principle of life,
Implications : It is the taking over of the human by the senses, mind, and the intellect where-in we view the environment through the
glass of the 'matter'. The whole ambit of the vision and understanding, thus, changes. We get stuck and venture deeper in to our wants,
desires, and needs. Due to this, we enjoy and yet only sensuously. We feel complete and yet so incomplete. It is a spiraling effect and it
has left us humans oblivious of the true sense of enjoying even our routine lives.
So, what is Spiritual Ecstasy? Ecstasy is a state of trance in which a person feels complete, has no drags, and thus feels non-burdened.
It is a state of conscious expanded spiritual awareness. This is the state of bliss that is away from the human wants and desires. Ecstasy
is pure when the thoughts and intents have no guilt and negativities.
Spiritual Ecstasy How and Why? Live with all the passion with sparse and concentrated thoughts in those moments. Give in with
your entire being. Surrender in totality. Give and just give. As they say, “In Giving is to Receive”. Are you aware of the fact that even
'Tantric/Spiritual Sex' talks about 'giving and only giving'? If each one of us gives, it has to be received by someone. Who else but us
the humans?
Let us take 'Love' as a subject. First of all, when in love, do we feel the drag, the pain, and guilt, at times? Search your heart. If the
answer is yes, then it is not love. It is a need and that too, impure need that could be benefit based. Do you linger on and on in to the
act of love making or you are looking for your 20-30 minutes of release?
The only barriers are the human 'wants and desires' looking for benefits. We stick to be just 'receivers'. As a result, we lower ourselves
to the planes of materialism and/or ritualism to an extent that receiving and seeking benefits, even when in love, becomes our prime
motive. That leads to the downfall of 'Spiritual Ecstasy' and the rise of 'Sensual Pleasures'. The 'Spiritual Ecstasy' is always in its purer
form and remains to be at the top, always.
The Thoughts and the Breath : To achieve 'Spiritual Ecstasy', the 'Thoughts' and 'Breath' play an important role. Stay positive; think of
only giving with no benefits. Thoughts need not drag you towards 'human benefits, wants and desires'. Breathe deep and stay calm
and composed to focus and concentrate in that moment that you are living. Release the self in to any given moment, more than
hundred percent. The ecstasy would be incomplete, otherwise. If we are able to live the moments, without a drag, we shall feel light as
a feather. That would be the first step towards achieving 'Spiritual Ecstasy'.
Conclusion : The journey of life has no conclusions or endings. It always is a new beginning, every moment, provided we live them.
In giving is to receive. It is every moment of 'Conscious Giving' that matters. The sensual pleasures can be momentary and shallow.
The spiritual ecstasy gives us the 'high' which can push the human in to the ecstasy of salvation (extreme happiness) that would be
longer lasting and stronger in essence and quality. The thoughts and human composure would be catalysts to heighten the passion
and intent towards achievement of “Ecstasy or Bliss”. Spiritual Ecstasy is a term that can lead us in to the realms of "outside itself",
outside of the senses, mind, and the intellect and right in to our spiritual self, the way we were born and thus closer to our own

“Avoid Pain and Gain Pleasure”. Let us see how we answer the following questions:
?Am I looking good? Am I baring enough or showing off myself for effect? How will this dress look on me or does this color suit
me? Will it be okay for me to behave this way?
?What is the benefit in it for me? Is he/she taking advantage of me? Why?
?What is so great in what he/she has done? I could have done it better.
These are some of the routine thoughts that cross our minds, day in day out. If we venture deeper, we shall find that our thoughts
and acts are stuck with the culprit threesome- the senses, mind, and the intellect.

Dance like
no one is
watching
Ek Onkar
They say dance like no one is watching because that's
when you dance your best. Why is this so? Because
when no one is watching, we are our most natural selves.
Then we can be like a child who is not afraid to get dirty,
to get ugly or to make a fool of himself, to be curious, to
explore, to break things down and build them again, not
afraid to discover and walk on a never travelled before
path. It's when no one is watching, that we are our most
creative selves. Because that's when we drop the most
important thing that inhibits creativity- fear of judgment.
We are all born creative, in one way or another. Watch a
child at play and you will know. It's as we grow up and
we are lauded for some things and criticized for some,
when we start getting judged, that's when we start
getting conscious of ourselves and start losing touch with
the natural fountain of creativity that flows within each
of us. Taken to a grown up professional level, it's when
we are constantly “rated”, “marked”, “appraised” that
we become afraid to put out our most naturally creative
work.
The greatest artists, painters, writers in the world created
as they were inspired to do without fear, they danced
like no one was watching. They created from a place of
spirit, not of mind. The word “inspiration” itself comes
from “in spirit”, and in the middle ages meant “to be
divinely guided”. Hence all genuinely inspired work is
great creative work as it comes from the spirit and the
spirit is not afraid to be judged, the mind is. So creativity
that comes from the spirit is bound to be original,
authentic, and powerful. Output that comes only from
the logical, rational mind is bound to be plagiaristic,
formulaic and clichéd as it will be fearful of judgment by
others and therefore never out of the box.
For out of the box thinking, we need to practice out of the
mind thinking. All extremely creative people have the
courage to put forth ideas without being afraid of “what
will people say”. They have the courage to silence their
logical, rational mind that always judges in terms of success
and failure and operate from a silent space deep within,
from where all great ideas come. That silent space deep
within- call it our spirit, our divinity, our soul, is within
each one of us, it's a space that is powerful and infinitely
creative and most importantly, it is fearless. So reach out
to that place and allow the spirit within you to create, as it
dances without fear, in beauty and excellence. And success
is bound to follow.

FUN FACTS
What Laughter Yoga Can Do Your Business
How Laughter Yoga Works: With prolonged Intentional laughter one can exhale more carbon dioxide which oxygenates
each and every cell of the body and brain. This improves efficiency, mental focus and concentration. BBC and Google
Offices are using it, Oprah Winfrey has tried and said it works, British actor John Cleese endorsed it. This innovative
concept has been widely accepted all over the world and has been written about in prestigious publications like TIME
Magazine, The New Yorker, National Geographic, Wall Street Journal, Daily Telegraph and many others.
Unique Features Of Laughter Yoga In Business
lCost-effective and less time consuming.
lReduces stress instantaneously & one can feel the benefits from the very first session.
lScientifically proven with measureable results.
lEasy to practice, anyone can do it.
Seven Compelling Reasons to bring Laughter Yoga to Your Organisation
Quickest way to Reduce Stress: Though there are many methods being used to reduce stress, Laughter Yoga is the
quickest and one can feel the benefits from the very first session. Laughter Yoga a single exercise which reduces
physical, mental and emotional stress simultaneously and brings an emotional balance. It increases positive emotions
and decreases negative emotions. Even highly talented and skilled employees cannot perform well if they are emotionally
disturbed.
Healthy Exercise for Busy People: Laughter Yoga works like an aerobic exercise without sweating. Dr. Williams Fry of
Stanford University proved that 10 minutes of hearty laughter is equal to 30 minutes on the rowing machine. This helps
to stimulate heart rate, increase blood circulation, supply oxygen and remove waste products.
Peak Performance: At a given time, the performance depends upon mood and Laughter Yoga has the power to change
the mood state within minutes by releasing neuro-peptides from the brain cells called endorphins. Science tells us that
the brain needs 25% more oxygen than other body organs. Laughter Yoga increases the net supply of oxygen which helps
in optimal performance and boosts energy levels.
Team Building: 'People who laugh together work together.'Laughter Yoga is a powerful tool that connects people easily
with each other. It also helps to develop a positive mental attitude, hope and optimism and increases communication
skills to help in teambuilding.
Motivation And Communication: For people working in front office and sales and marketing, Laughter Yoga helps to
bring a smile on their face and generate good feelings within the body. This enhances their communication and
motivational skills thus increasing their client base and customer satisfaction.
Innovation And Creativity: The childlike playfulness in Laughter Yoga stimulates the right brain activity, which is the
seat of creativity. This helps generate new ideas and new insights about workplace issues and problems. As one needs to
introduce new ideas and constant innovation to stay ahead in this highly competitive market, Laughter Yoga helps
people become more creative and innovative.
Increases Attention Span in HR Trainings: Human brain cannot concentrate for more than 90 minutes after which the
attention span reduces. Even a 5-10 minute Laughter Yoga session can provide a great energy boost during long HR
training sessions and conferences. It helps to increase the attention span, enhance learning skills, concentration powers
and potential.

Time Perspective
Time is an abstract concept; and as we can't touch, see or smell it, it's often extremely hard to understand. This is just one reason why our
perception of time has changed – well, throughout time.
Our pre historic ancestors, for instance, lived in the “now.” Being focused on the present helped them escape immediate threats, and thus
avoid death.
They didn't even have the vocabulary to talk about the future, so everything was about the present.
Later, people began to recognize the change of seasons and solar and lunar cycles, which helped further the development of agriculture.
Slowly, our ancestors started thinking and talking about the future.
Today, however, we're obsessed with time. Our lives are built around school semesters, financial quarters and 24-hour news.
The word “time” is one of the most used in the English language.
Yet time is still a subjective concept. But how exactly does each person experience time differently?
There are two main ways we perceive time. First, there's time as it is tracked on a clock.
When we observe the passage of time as the ticking of a clock, for example, it feels like it exists outside of us and thus we treat it
objectively.
Second, there's psychological time, which describes how we subjectively perceive the passage of time.
Are you more concerned with the past or future?
Do you see this positively or negatively?
Because of these different perceptions, we each have different time perspectives.
A time perspective is how you think of time, and how your attitude affects how you live your life.
1. How do u handle these perspectives.
2. How do u analyse the current times of your business model and how to u plan to change/accelerate /modify/energise it.
3. How do u make sure that all in the team have the same perspective and way forward.
4. How to maximise a positive perspective of time

  • 1. October 2015 26 Kanchan Sharma Bliss!! What is bliss if I may ask? Perfect happiness! A state of spiritual joy! Ecstasy! The elucidation is subjective. However, one thing is certain – you crave for that perfect happiness and peace. Well, that is the reason you are reading 'Blissful Lifestyle' isn't it? Somewhere, deep within, this is what each personage yearns for – peace, happiness, love and joy. Break Free Zone - Re-ignite the fire within !! Are you game, to go within? Allow me to ask you another question. Where can you genuinely discover / obtain / buy happiness and peace? Is there a stockroom, where you can bargain for them? Or is there a haven where you find them in abundance? Where exactly? Nowhere! What if I reveal, that the world outside, is nothing but a reflection of what YOU are from the inside? What if I proved to you, that hey, what you think is actually what you receive? And most significantly what if; I divulge the powers of your subconscious mind to you? Startling or incredible, however you feel about it, this is the truth. You find happiness within. You have to find that joy within. Peace is the most natural state of your being. All you have to do is, take the journey within – to yourself! Unearth the power. Reignite it. Charge ahead with confidence. In this column, every month, I will take you through a journey which can pave the way to the path, where all your dreams come true!!! Blessings and Empowerment to you
  • 2. October 2015 27 The language of flowers, sometimes called floriography, is a means of cryptological communication through the use or arrangement of flowers. Meaning has been attributed to flowers for thousands of years, and some form of floriography has been practiced in traditional cultures throughout the world. The Language of Flowers Interest in floriography soared in Victorian England and in the United States during the 19th century. Gifts of blooms, plants, and specific floral arrangements were used to send a coded message to the recipient, allowing the sender to express feelings which could not be spoken aloud in Victorian society. Armed with floral dictionaries, Victorians often exchanged small "talking bouquets," called nosegays or Tussie-Mussies, which could be worn or carried as a fashion accessory. Since ancient times flowers been assigned "secret" meanings and used to convey feelings that could not be expressed more directly. The Japanese call it Hanakotoba, and King Charles II brought it to Sweden from Persia in the 17th century. Hanakotoba is the Japanese name for associating certain flowers with different meanings. It is an age-old art form. Floriography – a fancy name for the language of flowers – was coined in the Victorian era, and while its original translations may have shifted over time, the notion that through flower symbolism we can express what we want to say (and may not be able to speak out loud) still holds true. We sense the personalities of different flowers and intuitively choose one over another to fit our mood or the occasion. We do it all the time. That's why we surprise someone with a bunch of bright yellow flowers to cheer them up or declare our fervent passion with two-dozen velvety roses. What can a wild flower offer you more than its amazing colour or alluring fragrance? A coded message allowing you to express a feeling which could not be spoken. The language of flowers, sometimes called floriography, is a Victorian-era means of communication in which various flowers and floral arrangements were used to send secret messages. This message was most commonly communicated through Tussie-Mussies or nosegays: small, round bouquets of herbs and flowers selected with symbolic meanings. • 4. October 2015 29 Dr. Meghana N. Dikshit I recollect one of my clients as he had walked in to De Mantraa. Rishi, a young, vibrant man in his early 30's completely distraught with Life. There seemed to be a sense of mismanagement everywhere and all that happened in HIS Life has a sense of urgency. I sat intently listening to his description and what I gathered was as follows. He was 23 when he had joined a top notch corporate firm after faring well in his educational endeavor. Life was perfect! Being a diligent and sincere employee with a pleasant behavior he soon proved himself a valuable asset to the organization. On the personal front too Life was a pleasant fairytale. There was a sense of balance. Friends, Health, Entertainment, Family, Money and a glass of good wine! His contacts were increasing with his trot up the organizational stairway and so were his responsibilities. His responsibilities at home increased as well with him walking the path of marriage. Slowly and before he realized his Life seemed to have taken a negative slope on the graph getting from bad to worse over the years. He seemed to be unable to keep up to any of his responsibilities and keeping anyone happy was not his cup of tea anymore. Trying harder with desperation to surge the tumble was an uphill task and filled him with what he wanted the least, anger, frustration, insecurities and a sense of worthlessness. My Life My Story What followed were few of sessions where we explored the probable reasons behind such change of fortune. Wanting the best out of Life, like any other person, Rishi was seen giving his all too every area of his Life. But what soon started happening with an increase in responsibilities was a gamble between person and profession. Procrastination, taking things for granted, not caring about health, neglecting the importance of entertainment, and a lot more was filled on the plate. Stress reined the show. A few Ayurveda therapies, lifestyle corrections, nutritional guidance and balancing sessions and complimenting soul therapies restored in him a sense of well-being and peace. Sessions helped him explore the vicious cycle that was pulling him down as well as a step by step guide and mentoring to break through the cycle to freedom. Restored with now empowered with this new found awareness and Mantraa to a healthy and fulfilling life

  • 7. October 2015 32 How to Dress for Success Dressing for Success in Combo Pack To dress for success implies we are self-confident, goal-oriented and determined – all personal strengths or skills. Decide what to wear. Deciding what to wear depends on whether we want to stand out, stick out or blend in. Standing out in an interview would be dressing one step above what would be worn on the job. Sticking out would be wearing a three-piece suit to a factory job interview. Blending in would wearing what everyone else is wearing. The question is whether or not you want to be noticed. And if you want to be noticed, to what extent? Does it matter if the attention is negative? To be dressed appropriately for any occasion, it's important to know what is generally expected. If you don't know, ask. There is nothing wrong in asking if the occasion is casual, business casual, or formal. But keep in mind that these classifications can vary. Again, if you are not sure, ask. If told it will be casual, you could ask if shorts are okay. If told business casual, you could ask if jeans and a jacket are okay. If told it is formal, you could ask if a suit, rather than a tuxedo, is okay. Consider image to be presented. Once we know what is expected, we can then decide if we want to blend in, stand out or stick out. If attending another person's wedding, we may want to just blend in. If dressing for an interview, we definitely want to stand out. When trying to make an “over-the-top” statement” or draw attention to a cause, sticking out is the way to go. The most important element in presenting a positive image – a large part of dressing for success – is being clean and neat. People react to what they see, and an unwanted first impression may take time and effort to overcome. Presenting a clear image is the first step in acquiring the results we are seeking. In addition to what we wear, a smile shows we are approachable and a good amount of eye contact shows we are sincere and interested in what the other person is saying. Positive Attitude Trust yourself. Believe you will accomplish the goals you set and act like the person you want to be. A healthy and a positive attitude not only improves image, but increase chances for success by attracting other positive people. Look for positive interaction and results and you will find them. Be prepared. Dressing for success also includes being – or at least looking like we are – prepared. Again, this is part of the image. Walking into an interview or a meeting with a notepad and pen folder gives the impression of being professional. (Of course, if you are expected to bring something specific be sure to bring it. Simply dressing for success can only go so far toward actually achieving success.) Use appropriate communication. Use an appropriate tone of voice and be aware of body language. Both can send unintended messages. Also pay some attention to content of the communication. Stay away from facts you only think are true. Success, beyond looking the part, involves building mutual trust and respect in relationships. Develop the COMBO package. Dressing for success is not just clothes, it involves a number of equally important elements. If the other elements aren't right, the clothes won't matter. Focus on developing the whole package. And you reach the Winning Circle . By Shobhaa Arya Arunaagiri Mudaaliar Breakthrough Performance Author, World Class Trainer, International Sportsman and Successful Entrepreneur.. • 9. October 2015 34 Over the past few weeks, I have noticed a significant difference in the way older and younger people see the importance of experts. It's a classic generation gap. People in their 40s or older often seek the help of experts when they face a difficult decision. In most cases, they source the experts from friends' recommendations. In contrast, my friends and students in their 20s and 30s seem not to value expertise much at all. When they face big decisions, they poll their friends. I don't believe this is due to the convenience of reaching out to friends on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. More likely, it has to do with trust, and the fact fewer young people have peers who are truly world-class experts. Nevertheless, relying heavily on your friends for big choices in your life is not the right answer. Don't Rely On Your Friends for Advice Consistent advice from friends is not the same as expert advice Take one of my former students. Two weeks ago, I heard from him that he had recently been fired from a job he clearly didn't enjoy. He realized after only a couple of months on the job that it was not a good fit, but stayed because his friends almost unanimously recommended that he not leave before one year because it would look bad on his resume. Don't confuse emotional support with expert advice Over and over again, I see examples of people taking sub-optimal advice from their friends when making critical life decisions. I see young people turn down offers after their friends advise them to hold out for the right title. They take this advice, despite the fact that their friends have had little success themselves, and don't know that title pales in comparison to quality of company when choosing which company you should work for if you want to build a successful career. Yesterday, I met a prospective client who built his personal financial plan based on friends' recommendations. None of his friends had a background in the investment business, but he trusted them nonetheless, because their plans appeared to be well thought out. He wanted to seek the advice of an expert, but he didn't know how to identify one. Therefore he went with his friends' advice; now he has a sub-optimal plan. Emotional support makes it easier for you to carry out a course of action that you've decided is right. But don't mistake it for advice. Advice helps you make a difficult decision. Both are important, but they are different. It is highly unlikely friends can provide expert advice, but they can be very useful to help you find experts. I often tap them for names, especially if I know my friends have faced a problem similar to the one I am concerned with. Experts are accomplished I adore my friends, but I don't rely on their judgment to figure out who is an expert in her field. Over my 25 year Venture Capital career I learned over and over again that resume, especially accomplishment, is the best way to evaluate expertise. Of course you need to do your due diligence to make sure the accomplishment quoted in a resume is real. As I pointed out in You learn more from success than failure, only through success can you hone your game. Just because someone is successful, don't assume they won't engage with you. But don't try to cold call them. Always get an introduction. When searching for advice, I look for someone who has broad and successful experience in my particular problem area. Why should I trust someone's opinion if they don't have that experience? I would never go to a surgeon who hadn't faced every possible problem with my particular injury. Online celebrities are not necessarily experts Some people I know confuse celebrity with accomplishment. In the age of social media, people can project a broad profile online with little real world success to justify their platform. Many of my students mistakenly rely on entrepreneurship blogs that have been recommended by their friends because they are popular or well written. Just because someone has a popular blog or has published a book doesn't mean that person is an expert. As I have said before, only through success do you learn the lessons that really make a difference. When we set out to build our investment team at Wealthfront, we looked for experts who were well respected and highly successful. We were fortunate to recruit Burt Malkiel as our Chief Investment Officer and Charley Ellis to our investment advisory board. Burt is a renowned Princeton economics professor, author of A Random Walk Down Wall Street, the book that launched the index fund revolution, and a former Vanguard board member for 28 years. Charley founded Greenwich Associates, the most respected strategy consulting firm to the financial service industry, and also sat on the Vanguard board. He has taught at the Yale School of Management and Harvard Business School. The kind of knowledge Burt and Charley have cannot be attained in any way other than through success. Seek advice from the best to make the best decisions I know this attitude makes me seem old school. When it comes to my choice of advisors, I am. It's much more convenient to reach out to friends through social media tools, and solicit their thoughts about just about anything than it is to listen to experts. But just because polling your friends is convenient doesn't mean it's the right choice. When you need an advisor, seek experts whose accomplishments give them the perspective to advise. As I explained in How Long Should You Stay At Your Job?, it doesn't make sense to stay at a job to make your resume look better if you are unhappy. Unhappiness on the job usually leads to a marked reduction in motivation, which leads to poor performance. This is in fact what happened, and ultimately resulted in his firing. “Why didn't you reach out to me when you realized you joined the wrong company?” I asked. He replied that he was too embarrassed to call, and because he received such consistent answers from his friends. I'm sorry he felt he couldn't come to me, because I wanted to help. His friends didn't have a broad enough perspective or enough experience to know the right answer. By : Andy Rachleff
  • 10. October 2015 35 In this section we will introduce our readers to the soft and humane side of celebrities who have inspired us. We will also discuss their strong association to an image or photograph that keeps the celebrity inspired and strong in times of weakness and struggle. Parikshet Sahni It is not every day that you enter the house of a celebrity but you are yourself treated like one!! That is exactly how we felt on entering Parikshet Sahni sir's house. He is the epitome of warmth, love and respect. Inspite of having worked in blockbusters like Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiot and PK along with memorable roles in Barrister Vinod, Gul Gulshan Gulfam and Gaatha his down to earth nature and humility is a rare sight in today's world. Capturing pictures and creating stories Interestingly, we all know him as an actor but the young Parikshet, was trained to be a scriptwriter, director and editor in Europe. He reveres writing the most and when the script he gave his sweat and blood for over 2 years was made into a film without due credits to him, it caused him lot of agony. This hurt stayed dormant for years and finally resulted in creating his own production house called Balraj Sahni Production house. The production house has a young and talented team which is working on TV serials, children movies and feature films. Though he is well read, knowledgeable and quoted from Emerson, Shakespeare and Eckhart Tolle, he believes in simplicity . He believes in philosopher William James, “The deepest craving of the human nature is the need to be appreciated”. A very simple statement yet so profound! He also quoted the philosophy of Lao Tzu about 'half and half', which is about being balanced and not being at the extremes; not to be so famous that you are not accessible to people nor be so simple that no one recognizes you. The violin which has very strong strings shall break while one with loose strings shall not play. His thoughts resonate with the golden middle path as suggested by Buddha. His first passion and what he loves most is writing scripts. But he also feels that the process of making films or tele serials helps him unleash his creativity and he also enjoys the comraderie with his co-actors, crew and audience. Not many know that his father Balraj Sahni was MA in English and used to teach at Shanti Niketan. He has also penned few books on his life experiences. So the genes to read, study, understand literature and philosophy were gifted to him from his father. He emphasized on the power of NOW, something he is currently working on. Speaking about one photograph that heals him, motivates him pushes him forward guides is that of his father Shri Balraj Sahni in his living room. One could see the pride of a son coupled with the pain of events that the family went through almost from the eyes. He spoke about the pain of partition, the struggles they had to make to ends meet, his father was in jail and still challenged himself to make his opponents eat their words in 2 years and won. He was a man of grit and determination. It requires great strength to live life and conquer all the challenges in scaling the peak to stardom. In spite of his success, he remained humble and an epitome of love. Besides his love for his family and children, Parikshetji is very attached to the mountains. He spent his childhood at the boarding school of Shimla; they even had a cottage there with a breathtaking view of the mountains. Talking about the mountains took him into a philosophical mood and he said life is like scaling the peak of a mountain. The moment you reach on top, you realize there are higher ones waiting. So you start all over again to conquer another one, then another, and yet another and life goes on. He even has a photograph of the Manali Mountains captured by him with an old camera, but with just the exact exposure that even as a photographer I could not resist appreciating his talent. To deal with the high stress levels that all of us face in today's world, he has his own set of modalities. He uses reading and contemplation, he loves reading the neo philosophers like Eckhart Tolle, Joseph Murphy, Rhonda Byrne, and also ancient history. He concludes that we are nothing but a ripple in the wave of an ocean of life and humanity. Nothing is too big to be worried about and nothing is too small to be ignored. We all are the 'atma' which must be in sync with the 'paramatama' the universal consciousness. Another wonderful panacea he has found is exercise; he believes all the diseases on the earth can be cured with exercise and healthy diet. He loves swimming like his father, enjoys trekking, jogging, cycling, and most of all avoid negative, loud and aggressive people from his lives. Finally he summed up quoting that an actor should have a heart like a dove and skin like a rhinoceros, though he feels that the skin of a rhino seems impossible for him to achieve in this lifetime. We really feel there are very few gems like Parikshet Sahniji, (Interviewed and compiled by Meenal Jaiswal and Smithaa M Chaturvedi)

  • 13. October 2015 38 DID U KNOW ? the alphabet alphabetized with respect to itself Today I'm thinking about the alphabet. Neil deGrasse Tyson pointed out that the alphabet is not actually in alphabetical order: B (“bee”) starts with b, but M (“em”) starts with e! If you write each letter out in the way you pronounce its name, and alphabetize that list, you might get something like the alphabet Mr. Tyson tweeted: A H R B Q D W E F L M N S X G I J K O P C T V Y U Z But this list is only alphabetical according to the everyday ABC alphabet. It is not alphabetized with respect to itself — that is, the names for the letters are not in the AHR order proposed by this new alphabet. Here's one that is: A R H B D W Y E F L M N S X C Q G I J K O P T U V Z How did I find an ordering for the alphabet that's alphabetized according to itself? I'll define a general procedure alphabetize that takes an ordering of letters, and produces a new, re-alphabetized alphabet — an orde-ring of letters. I want to find an ordering that, when I perform alpha-betize, gives me that same ordering back. This is called a fixed point of alphabetize. That's fixed as in affixed: while other orderings change upon application of the procedure, this special ordering doesn't change — it stays put. Fixed. The easiest (but ofttimes ineffective) way to find a fixed- point is simply to iterate. Keep applying alphabetize to the result of alpha-betize until the result stops changing. This will only show you one fixed point — there may be many — and it's not guaranteed to find one even if one exists. But for my alphabet problem, it has the added bonus of finding the fixed point ordering that's closest to our usual alphabet (provided that's what I start with). BY : Neil deGrasse Tyson

October 2015 39 "Spiritual Ecstasy Versus Sensual Pleasures; Which is better and why?” “Sensual satisfaction is through the senses, mind, and the intellect; and deals with physical satisfaction. Try the spiritual ecstasy and see the levels of depths in relationships that one can reach, both with self and others”-- Aalok The human is born 'simple' and is to live simple and humane. Do we attempt mechanical completion and at times have 'just to do it' attitude? We are all aware that the human is composed of 'Matter' and 'Spirit'. The matter constitutes the senses, mind, and the intellect. The spirit is composed of the soul that we were born with. We, humans start identifying ourselves, through the 'Matter' and forget the 'Spirit'. Did you know that senses, mind, and the intellect (part of the Matter), are all culpable? Surprised? Our 'desires and wants' corrupt them. They have three abodes in the human body- the senses, mind, and the intellect. When one abode is lost due to human 'elevation', even the intellect, which is 'bought', comes to their rescue. Sensual Pleasures Pleasures for the human are a plenty and they grow each day, in fact each moment. The human being has a base principle of life, Implications : It is the taking over of the human by the senses, mind, and the intellect where-in we view the environment through the glass of the 'matter'. The whole ambit of the vision and understanding, thus, changes. We get stuck and venture deeper in to our wants, desires, and needs. Due to this, we enjoy and yet only sensuously. We feel complete and yet so incomplete. It is a spiraling effect and it has left us humans oblivious of the true sense of enjoying even our routine lives. So, what is Spiritual Ecstasy? Ecstasy is a state of trance in which a person feels complete, has no drags, and thus feels non-burdened. It is a state of conscious expanded spiritual awareness. This is the state of bliss that is away from the human wants and desires. Ecstasy is pure when the thoughts and intents have no guilt and negativities. Spiritual Ecstasy How and Why? Live with all the passion with sparse and concentrated thoughts in those moments. Give in with your entire being. Surrender in totality. Give and just give. As they say, “In Giving is to Receive”. Are you aware of the fact that even 'Tantric/Spiritual Sex' talks about 'giving and only giving'? If each one of us gives, it has to be received by someone. Who else but us the humans? Let us take 'Love' as a subject. First of all, when in love, do we feel the drag, the pain, and guilt, at times? Search your heart. If the answer is yes, then it is not love. It is a need and that too, impure need that could be benefit based. Do you linger on and on in to the act of love making or you are looking for your 20-30 minutes of release? The only barriers are the human 'wants and desires' looking for benefits. We stick to be just 'receivers'. As a result, we lower ourselves to the planes of materialism and/or ritualism to an extent that receiving and seeking benefits, even when in love, becomes our prime motive. That leads to the downfall of 'Spiritual Ecstasy' and the rise of 'Sensual Pleasures'. The 'Spiritual Ecstasy' is always in its purer form and remains to be at the top, always. The Thoughts and the Breath : To achieve 'Spiritual Ecstasy', the 'Thoughts' and 'Breath' play an important role. Stay positive; think of only giving with no benefits. Thoughts need not drag you towards 'human benefits, wants and desires'. Breathe deep and stay calm and composed to focus and concentrate in that moment that you are living. Release the self in to any given moment, more than hundred percent. The ecstasy would be incomplete, otherwise. If we are able to live the moments, without a drag, we shall feel light as a feather. The spiritual ecstasy gives us the 'high' which can push the human in to the ecstasy of salvation (extreme happiness) that would be longer lasting and stronger in essence and quality. The thoughts and human composure would be catalysts to heighten the passion and intent towards achievement of “Ecstasy or Bliss”. Spiritual Ecstasy is a term that can lead us in to the realms of "outside itself", outside of the senses, mind, and the intellect and right in to our spiritual self, the way we were born and thus closer to our own selves to achieve what was for the purer soul in the human body Aalok, the HR 'Curator and Transformer', has his expertise in Human Behaviors. Aalok “Avoid Pain and Gain Pleasure”. Let us see how we answer the following questions: ?Am I looking good? Am I baring enough or showing off myself for effect? How will this dress look on me or does this color suit me? Will it be okay for me to behave this way? ?What is the benefit in it for me? Is he/she taking advantage of me? Why? ?What is so great in what he/she has done? I could have done it better. These are some of the routine thoughts that cross our minds, day in day out. If we venture deeper, we shall find that our thoughts and acts are stuck with the culprit threesome- the senses, mind, and the intellect.
  • 15. October 2015 40 Dance like no one is watching Ek Onkar They say dance like no one is watching because that's when you dance your best. Why is this so? Because when no one is watching, we are our most natural selves. Then we can be like a child who is not afraid to get dirty, to get ugly or to make a fool of himself, to be curious, to explore, to break things down and build them again, not afraid to discover and walk on a never travelled before path. It's when no one is watching, that we are our most creative selves. Because that's when we drop the most important thing that inhibits creativity- fear of judgment. We are all born creative, in one way or another. Watch a child at play and you will know. It's as we grow up and we are lauded for some things and criticized for some, when we start getting judged, that's when we start getting conscious of ourselves and start losing touch with the natural fountain of creativity that flows within each of us. Taken to a grown up professional level, it's when we are constantly “rated”, “marked”, “appraised” that we become afraid to put out our most naturally creative work. The greatest artists, painters, writers in the world created as they were inspired to do without fear, they danced like no one was watching. They created from a place of spirit, not of mind. The word “inspiration” itself comes from “in spirit”, and in the middle ages meant “to be divinely guided”. Hence all genuinely inspired work is great creative work as it comes from the spirit and the spirit is not afraid to be judged, the mind is. So creativity that comes from the spirit is bound to be original, authentic, and powerful. Output that comes only from the logical, rational mind is bound to be plagiaristic, formulaic and clichéd as it will be fearful of judgment by others and therefore never out of the box. For out of the box thinking, we need to practice out of the mind thinking. All extremely creative people have the courage to put forth ideas without being afraid of “what will people say”. They have the courage to silence their logical, rational mind that always judges in terms of success and failure and operate from a silent space deep within, from where all great ideas come. That silent space deep within- call it our spirit, our divinity, our soul, is within each one of us, it's a space that is powerful and infinitely creative and most importantly, it is fearless. So reach out to that place and allow the spirit within you to create, as it dances without fear, in beauty and excellence. And success is bound to follow. • 25. October 2015 50 Time Perspective Time is an abstract concept; and as we can't touch, see or smell it, it's often extremely hard to understand. This is just one reason why our perception of time has changed – well, throughout time. Our pre historic ancestors, for instance, lived in the “now.” Being focused on the present helped them escape immediate threats, and thus avoid death. When we observe the passage of time as the ticking of a clock, for example, it feels like it exists outside of us and thus we treat it objectively. 4. How to maximise a positive perspective of time An exclusive Magazine for Corporate Wellness and Lifestyle is now in the market 'The Magazine for Blissful Living'.
