Conveying messages through spoken words.
It includes face to face communication between individuals,
communication through telephone, public speech etc.

Transmission of messages in written words.
e.g. letters, reports, circulars, manuals etc.

Expression through body parts is known as gestural or non-
verbal communication.
It includes facial expression, movement of lips , movement of
hands, even a mere silence etc.
