3. Introduction
The process of creating virtual versions of actual
physical hardware is called as Virtualization.
It is a technique of how to separate a service from the
underlying physical delivery of that service.
It involves using special softwares to produce a
software centered version of a computing resource
rather than the actual version of the same resource.

4. How Virtualization is used in Cloud
Computing ?

Virtualization creates an illusion where an Operating System starts
believing that it is using or utilizing the various hardware component of
the computer system
Creating virtual versions of ( a computer, operating system, a data
storage device etc.), which is not itself an independent device but both
works and appears to the user, as a single, physical entity.
Many software layers can be emulated on a single hardware layer and or
a single software layer can be produced on many hardware layers .
5. How Virtualization is achieved in
Cloud Computing ?
Virtualization is achieved using software that creates a virtual
environment which looks real but isn’t.
This software is nothing but a program that creates an
environment or platform wherein it emulates and imitates
different hardware components like RAM, Hard disk, Network
Card, Processor etc

6. Benefits of Virtualization.
● Scalability, i.e. the ability to expand.
● Hardware maintenance cost is reduced.
● Lowers the cost of IT infrastructure.
● Remote access,.
● High availability and Disaster recovery.
