1. Tough Texture - Men’s Fall 2016
For the past few seasons we have seen prints take over the market, especially in
menswear. For the upcoming fall season we are expecting to see updated prints taking
inspiration from street style. “Tough Textures” are the marbleized and organic prints that
will be appearing on all types of sportswear and accessories. Above you will see some of
my favorite looks from this Tough Texture trend.

2. The biggest influence of this trend is the movement in nature, from the ripples in the
ocean to the cracks in minerals. These natural movements infused with pops of muted
tones make for beautiful and interesting patterns. These prints on athletic wear make for
edgy statement pieces that have the power to spice up any wardrobe.
Which pattern is your favorite?
This trend can be seen in two main color palettes. The first color palette consists of
browns and neutral tones with pops of blush pink and dusty blue (as shown below).
The neutral palette is inspired by some of earth’s most natural elements. Picturesque
action shots of mud, sand, minerals, and tree bark create gorgeous organic shapes as
well as offer a simple and subtle color palette.

3. Once you go black….
You can never go wrong with a simple black and white color palette. This color palette is
great for any type of garment and can be worn during the day or at night. Minerals were
the biggest influence for this color story. Textured prints in this color way are sure to

4. Laid-back loungewear can still be stylish and sophisticated. A look like this can take you
from your bed to the bar! The best part about these pieces is that they are easy to mix
and match! Dress this sweatshirt up with a pair of jeans or chinos or spruce up the
sweatpants with a plain cotton T. Any way you wear them, you are sure to make a
statement.
