•The upper studios are arranged
around the stepped courtyards in
a “U” shape.
•The introverted yet extroverted nature of this
arrangement defines the courtyards very well and yet
maintains a strong spatial connect between the
studios and the riverfront.
•The green courtyards distribute light to all the
studios that surround it.

•The artists residences stand freely in the site with a private outdoor space in the
front overlooking the river.
•CANTEEN
•. The canteen space is well defined by the columns on three sides, but the openness
of the structure helps it participate with the surroundings. The huge yellow wall
further articulates the space.
