2. Animal Kingdom
•1. Animals Movement: All the animal are capable of moving, but not in the
same way. For example, an earthworm crawls, a cheetah runs, fishes swim, and
birds fly.
•2. Animals Food: Animals eat different type of food to survive. Some animals
eat other animals, some eat grass, some eat plants, while some eat dead things.
•3. Animals Size: All animals are of different sizes. Giraffes are very tall,
Elephants are massive, Whales are enormous, while a mouse is tiny. Similarly,
some birds like Ostriches are large while some like Humming birds are as small as
human thumb! So, all creatures, including humans vary in size, shape, and color.
This is what makes the world interesting!
•4. Animals Habitat: All animal live in different habitats. Fish, crabs, shrimps,
sharks, and whales live in water. A lot of animals like cats, dogs, elephants, lions,
racoons, and wolves are found on land. Birds live high on trees and fly in the air.
5. •18. Protective Coverings Snails, turtles, crabs, and similar sea creatures have
shells as their protective coverings.
•19. Feathers of a bird protect them from the wind, sun, and excess moisture.
•20. All animals sound different. Birds chirp, dogs bark, cats meow, sheeps,
bleat, and so on.
•21. A pet animal needs shelter, food, air, and water to live. But in addition, pets
also need love and care to be healthy.
•22. Mammals are creatures that give birth to their young ones. Humans,
whales, lions, elephants, etc. are all examples of mammals.
•23. Reptiles are cold-blooded creatures that have dry skin covered with scales
and lay eggs. Snakes, lizards, turtles, and crocodiles are all good examples of
reptilians.
•24. Amphibians can live in water as well as on land for a short period of time.
They also lay eggs. Frogs, toads, newts, and salamanders are examples of
amphibians.

6. •25. Fish are aquatic animals that can breathe in water. They lay eggs.
•26. Mammals are creatures that give birth to their young ones. Humans,
whales, lions, elephants, etc. are all examples of mammals.
•27. Reptiles are cold-blooded creatures that have dry skin covered with scales
and lay eggs. Snakes, lizards, turtles, and crocodiles are all good examples of
reptilians.
•28. Spider : is an amazing creature that can spin its web from the secretion from
special glands. On the other hand, most creatures build their nests by using twigs
and various other parts of the trees. Other than providing a place to live, the
spiders’ webs also have another important function – spiders use them to catch
and eat their prey.
•29. Honeybees live in a beehive that they build. They also store food and raise
their young ones in the hives. Wasps also live in hives. Ants live in a special type
of hive called anthill.
