After taking her first lessons on the violin at the age of three at the Brooklyn Conservatory, Sarah Hadley Yakir successfully auditioned to become one of fifteen musically gifted children entering kindergarten at the Special Music School (SMS) in New York City. While at SMS she also attended the pre-college division of the Manhattan School of Music where she studied under Grigory Kalinofsky and later privately with Aaron Rosand. At age 12 she was accepted as a full time student at the Germany studying under Zakhar Bron. Sarah Hadley Yakir has recently graduated at the New England School of Music and is continuing there as a Master student under Donald Weilerstein and Soovin Kim.
