The Peoplemap System is designed to help individuals improve their “people
skills” and thereby make positive changes to their professional and personal
lives. Developed by psychologist Dr. Michael Lillibridge, the system assists
people in “understanding [themselves] and others.”
Peoplemap identifies four core personality types, into which participants are
divided upon entering the program. These types are:
1. Leader. Naturally inclined to assume a role in which they direct others,
individuals in this category focus on results and work tirelessly to achieve
their goals. They thrive on competition and are self-motivated.
3. 2. People. These individuals make relationships their main
priority, and their lives revolve around the connections they
forge with those close to them.
3. Free Spirit. This category of individuals maintains a focus
on freedom, both personally and professionally. Seeing life as
an opportunity for new experiences, individuals in this
category pursue careers that cater to their interests and may
seek different careers as their interests change.
4. Task. As the name implies, this personality type consists of
individuals who consider completing jobs properly and with
efficiency of the utmost importance. Individuals in this category
often organize by making lists and feel satisfied when they
have completed all of the tasks on a list.
