4. ZRG’s Senior Aerospace and Defense Team
SAMANTHA FOSTER, Managing Director
Ms. Foster is the Managing Director of the Aerospace and Defense practice at ZRG. She specializes in the Aerospace and Defense Industry as well
as other highly technical manufacturing environments. Her placement focus is in the area of technical functions from manufacturing to
engineering from individual contributors through senior management.
With a strong team supporting her practice, Ms. Foster has been able to accomplish many very difficult search projects. Many projects combine
the need for very specific technical skill sets and difficult relocation assignments.
Prior to joining ZRG Partners, Ms. Foster worked at Management Search Inc. and CTL Aerospace in Cincinnati, Ohio, a leading OEM supplier and
FAA Repair Station of Composite Components for the Aerospace Industry. During her 5+ years at CTL, Ms. Foster held the titles of Program
Manager and Manager of Sales and Marketing.
Samantha started her career at Lockheed Martin in Baltimore, MD as one of five entry-level engineers chosen to participate in a Management
Rotation program throughout the division for two years. This exposure, early on in her career, to all aspects of a companies’ infrastructure has
been invaluable as a recruiting professional.
LARRY HARTMANN, Managing Partner
Larry is involved in leading the overall growth of ZRG Partners globally as well as servicing his select clients in the commercial finance space.
Prior to joining ZRG Partners in 2001, Larry spent 17 years successfully founding, building and selling a commercial finance business. From 1984
to 1998, Larry was a founder and board member of Rockford Industries, Inc. a NASDAQ traded specialty finance company which focused on
providing specialized financing programs and sales support for the health care and information technology markets. While Larry was at
Rockford, the company was recognized as an INC. 500 growth company and showed 10 consecutive years of 40%+ originations growth.
Later, the company received a private equity investment from Sun America Life Insurance, which led to a successful IPO and NASDAQ listing
(NASDAQ: ROCF). At the time of the sale of the company to American Express in 1999, the company had total assets exceeding $250
Million, 200 employees and offices in 18 states.
Additionally, Larry has been an active trustee and board member for the Equipment Leasing Association Foundation, a leading industry trade
organization. He has been a frequent speaker on the topic of human capital in industry events, including the ELA CEO Forum and ELA CFO
conferences. Larry focuses in the commercial finance, equipment leasing and lending markets. In addition to senior level retained search,
Larry is also active in providing growth oriented consulting services for clients. Within the equipment leasing and finance field, ZRG Partners has
shifted over $1.5 Billion in originations to ZRG Partners Clients through successful recruiting and new business line development. Larry is
also considered a subject matter expert in “private equity backed” recruiting, bringing Board Level expertise to his clients in all
matters of human capital requirements, growth and creative long term incentive plan development. Larry is a graduate of
The California State University at Fullerton Business School.

BOB CHANDIS, Managing Director
Robert Chandis heads up the Asia Pacific Region for ZRG where he focuses on senior level engagements in life science, industrial
products, technology and general markets for globally-oriented clients with needs that require Asia Pacific expertise. He also supports Asia Pacific
based clients with needs outside of the region as an expert in culture and fit for such organizations.
A Chinese national born and raised in Shanghai, Mr. Chandis was previously the Regional President of Asia Pacific for Ken Clark
International, where he played a major role in growing the firm’s Asia Pacific business. Prior to entering the search profession, Robert Chandis
held several senior executive human resources positions which focused on executive compensation, development and recruiting for General
Electric, Hoffmann-Roche, Exxon Mobil, Corning, Covance, KMPG Consulting, to name a few.
Mr. Chandis is a graduate of the General Electric Employee Relation Management Training Program (ERMTP). He is a member of the Sino-
American Pharmaceutical Professional Association (SAPA), presenting in the areas of Career Development, Coaching and Training. He also
conducts workshops on Career Development, Interviewing Strategies and provides coaching for students at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
JEFF SHAPIRO, Managing Director
Professional Profile In 1990, Jeff entered the search profession with RCI a Top 25, Philadelphia based retained search firm. In 1994, Mr. Shapiro
founded his own firm, The Management Search Group (TMSG), a successful global boutique firm based in Philadelphia. Jeff joined ZRG Partners
through the 2002 acquisition of TMSG, and leads the firm’s Global Food Chain Leadership Practice. The Practice serves enterprises ranging from
large multinationals to early stage, venture backed businesses. Jeff’s projects range on executive level from GM, Director through the “C” suite.
The Supply Chain Practice comprise companies Manufacturing & Distributing Food, Beverages, Consumer Packaged Goods & Services (durable
& non-durable), QSR, Food Service, FMCG, Grocery, Retail, Global Supply Chain-Logistics Management, Specialty Chemicals, Agribusiness, and
Global Trade. Functional Expertise focuses on identifying strong Executive Leadership in roles such as Global Operations, Manufacturing, Supply
Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Plant-Facilities Management & Engineering, Sales & Operations
Planning, Safety, Quality, Sustainability, Risk Management, and Enabling Technology.
In addition, Jeff spent several years running North American Operations for an Asia-Pacific Trading Company headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan.
The company’s core business activities involved a complex mix of CPG Developmental Design, Contract Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, and
Supply Chain-Logistics. The company’s customer base represents some of the largest Big Box-Specialty Retailers and CPG companies in the
world. Today Jeff’s international expertise provides additional value for his clients when consulting on critical human capital deployment for
Global Expansion, JV Partnerships, M&A, and the acquisition of key Leadership for Mission Critical Initiatives.
Jeff joined ZRG Partners through the 2002 acquisition of The Management Search Group (TMSG), after which he left to lead the US operations
for a manufacturing outsourcing and trading company headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. In mid 2004, Jeff rejoined ZRG Partners with a relevant
perspective on globalizing corporate operations, manufacturing, outsourcing, sourcing, procurement, and supply chain-logistics. Jeff has
extensive search experience and local area knowledge throughout the Pacific Rim. Additional value is gained for his clients when
consulting on key strategies and the maximizing of human capital deployment.
Jeff entered the search profession with RCI, a top 25 retained search firm. In 1994 RCI was acquired by a large conglomerate. It was
at that time Jeff founded his own firm, The Management Search Group (TMSG), a successful boutique firm based in Philadelphia
