Abstract:
Since the discovery of the great powers in the atom, invention of equipment that can
demonstration the capabilities of it always considered the scholars and policy-makers of
countries.
This process is along with the knowledge and technology that is an indicator to measure
development of the country and is an important component of national sovereignty and
national safety.
Citation indexes are one of the tools that can use from extended statistics of them in study
of the science production. In the paper, relying on the Scopus data, science production
process of Iran in the field of nuclear energy over the 46 last years has been studied. first
part provide statistics of scientific output of this area, and try to link between the scientific
production and events. The documents in the area of nuclear energy are from 1883 in
Scopus database, and the total number of them are1469632. The documents of Iran are
since 1966, and in the whole are 5055 documents. In total 0.34 all documents are from Iran,
and the country's annual average growth during the years is 34.827 percent and global
corresponding value is 8.356 percent. The documents in the nuclear field like other parts of
the country science over the past years have grown and the effectiveness of the events and
related issues can represent the connection between research and industry in this area. In
the second part, relying on statistics is showed that the assassination of the Iran’s nuclear
scientists has had negative impact on scientific product in this area.

In the third part on the basis of SJR indicator, examine the quality of magazines that articles
have been published in them and shows that the quality of the papers produced little more
than the average.
In the fourth part, the 10 busiest institutions of nuclear scientific product are presented,
Tehran University of Medical Sciences Institute with 659 documents is busiest . moreover
shows that 20 percent of nuclear science product is from Tehran University of Medical
Sciences, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Shahidbeheshti University of Medical
Sciences that means 20 percent of nuclear scientific product is in medicine field.
and in the fifth part using regression, the number of Articles in the end of year 2013 is
estimated. Putting the corresponding value in the regression equation, number of articles in
the end of the year 2013, will increase 16, and will be 727, that means towards 2012 around
at 2.25 percent increase.
