2. 1.Web Terminology:
It is a collection of related web pages that may contain text, images, audio
and video.HTML(Hyper Text markup language)-the “programming”
language used to write web pages.

What is protocol: Protocol is a Rules and Regulation .
3. 3.Network(Arpanet):
ARPANET was the network that became the basis for the internet. Based on
a concept First published in 1967, ARPHANET was developed under the
direction of the us advanced Research projects agency.
4.Internet:
The internet is the global system of inter connected computer networks
that uses the internet protocol suite(TCP/IP) to communicate between
networks and devices . The internet is a vast network that connects
computers all over the world . people can share information and
communicate from anywhere with an internet connection.

Electronic mail (e-mail) is a method of exchanging messages (“mail”) between
people using electronic devices. It is the fasted media in the world . Email
entered limited use in the 1960s.
6. SMTP:
The simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP) is an internet standard communication
protocol for electronic mail transmission. Mail servers and other message
transfer agents use smtp to send and receive mail messages.
7.MIME:
Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) is an internet standard that
extends the format of email messages to support text in character sets
other than ASCII, as well as attachments of audio, video, images and
application Programs.
5. 8.FTP:
FTP(File Transfer protocol) is a network protocol for transmitting files
between computer over TCP/IP connections .FTP is consider an
application layer protocol.
9.TELNET:
Terminal Network. Telnet is an application protocol used on the internet or
local area network to provide a bidirectional interactive text-oriented
communication facility using a virtual terminal connection.
10.HTTP/HTTPS:
Hyper Text Transfer Protocol(HTTP) is an application layer protocol for
transmitting hypermedia documents , such as html.
HTTPS:
Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure is an extension of the Hyper text
Transfer protocol . It is used for secure communication over a
computer network and is widely used on the internet.
6. 11.Mobile Telecommunication:
Mobile Telecommunication is the process of sending, transmitting, and
receiving information over a distance with the purpose of communicating . It
consists of portable two-way communications devices, computing devices
and networking technology that connects them.
Mobile technology is typified by internet enabled devices like smartphones
,tablets and watches.
12.Blog:
(A shortened version of “weblog”)
A blog is an online journal or informational website displaying information in
reverse chronological order with the latest posts appearing first , at the top. It
is a platform where a writer or a group of writers share their views on an
individual subject.
13.Forum:
A forum is a place , situation or group in which people exchange ideas and
discuss issues especially important public issues.

An Address is a collection of information, Presented in a mostly fixed format , Used
to give the location of a building, apartment or other structure or a plot of land.
15.PLUGIN(S):
A Plugin is a software add-on that is in stalled on a Program , enhancing its
capabilities.
For Example:
If you wanted to watch a video on a website, you may need a plugin to do so
. if the plugin is not installed your browser will not understand how to play
the video.

A web page is a hypertext document provided by a website and displayed to a
user in a web browser.
