• Challenges
– Continue to improve bull’s genetics base on feedlot and harvest
data to improve feeding efficiency, to improve marketing , etc.
– Continue to promote Navajo Beef/Native Beef program by
doing more out reach presentations for Navajo producers and
other tribal producers due to high demand for Navajo Beef and
Native Beef product.
– Due to drought: We need to continue to increasing staging
areas, by having better working relationship with ONHIR in-
order to have more access to available grass bank, and to
implementing infrastructure in the staging areas.
– To educate and work with our government and leaders about
protesting our natural resources and the environment.
11. Future Business Plan
• Continue to plan for sustainable organization due to ONHIR
phase out/ budget cut by the US government
• Currently working on 501-(c) (3) IRS application to improve
our process and to be self-sufficient organization.
• Currently working on the future infrastructure for 14R, to
implement plan of operation, and maintenance practice by
utilizing PL 93-638 Federal Program under BIA, to get direct
funding and alone with NN support.
• Continue to work with First Nation, NRCS, Fish & Wild Life,
etc. to propose and implement land stewardship and
conservation projects.
• Our guiding principles should be:
– Having continuous learning organization
– To achieve operational excellence
