2. • Food is a big part of every culture around the world. Different culture have different types
of food, different method of preparing food. The diversity of food is also partly due to the
availability of a particular material, hence, different region has different types of food.
• I enjoy taking photos of the food that I have tasted when I travel to places, even when I
am back in my home country, I will still sample the food that I have eaten or the food that I
find interesting. Here are some of the photos that I have taken, with food from my home
country being a big part.
3. Satay, is one of Malaysia’s most signature dishes that is
enjoyed by many people. This is a pork satay, a variant from the
Malay satay. The satay sauce is a thick gravy made from
peanut, pineapple and curry paste that complement the taste of
the satay.
4. The photo on the top is the Nyonya
Laksa, which is found in the state
of Malacca. This is a dish prepared
in rich coconut gravy, served with
beancurd puffs, clams and noodle.
It’s one of my favourite dish.
The photo on the bottom is the
Asam Laksa which is from the
northern part of Malaysia. It is a
sour, fish-based soup. It is listed at
number 7 on World's 50 most
delicious foods complied by CNN Go
in 2011.
5. Nasi Lemak, is Malaysians all time favourite dish.
There are many variants to this dish. But, the curry
and the sambal (spicy chili paste) and the rice that is
cooked in coconut milk is the main focus of this dish.
6. This is the curry
bread. The bread is
dipped with curry that
is wrapped inside the
bread. It’s an Indian
dish. (Malacca)
