Hello Everybody.
This is madhuvanthi. I am a 3rd year cse student. I am the women in tech club lead of Gdsc ssit. I am also a Google Women Engineers Scholar.
GDSC is basically a community of passionate students who gain knowledge in a peer to peer learning envi and solve for local community prob using google tech, and thereby showcasing it in a higher level – to your community and industry leaders
Perks: Connections, gain knowledge, swags, resume
We have a gdsc in our clg – gdsc ssit, It was started this year with a motive to support and encourage students to pursue their interests in tech.
It is conducted once a year where students around the world basically build solutions for the problems in their community using google technologies and other tools for one of the sdg goals.
Idea: Discuss the United Nations goals with your community and ask them either through chat or live stream which SDG they are most interested to solve for. You can review the UN goals in depth at https://developers.google.com/community/gdsc-solution-challenge/UN-goals
Focus on UN sdg goals
How clearly u explain what the problem is and how relevant your soln is to the prob
The future scope of your project
How effectively u have used the feedback
Tech:
Point 1
How well u have used the google tech
Video demo – if its working soln, if soln highlights google tech,
Point 4
Be sure to share this resource page with your community https://developers.google.com/community/gdsc-solution-challenge/resources
[IMPORTANT] Please make sure to tag all Solution Challenge related events using the Solution Challenge event topic
It is basically a series of workshops.
3 parts:
Design Sprint – how to identify users, how to interview them and build a solution
UX & Product Design – construct wireframe, learn about design principles and ux design process
Technical Architecture – how to choose appropriate tech and define constraints
