It was at the request of the Mexican government that Anglo-American begin to preoccupy the northern portion of Mexico. The huge population of Anglo in the northern portion of Mexico led to a disillusionment of Mexican rule.
Mexico threatened war with the US if it annexed Texas.,[object Object]
