Integration of DRR/CCA into NSDP is done before the Ketsana hit Cambodia and we when for this work many time, then after the Ketsana hit Cambodia it seem to sock the gorverment to wake up to more consider on the Disaster management. Base on their concept that Cambodia is less disaster affect compare to the other Asian country but, because of the capacity to adapt to the disaster risk of the poor and the community is low so it is the cause that bring them most vulnerable to the disaster. ‘ DRR Forum is aim to put in place and to contribute towards better operational systems to ensure an effective preparedness and a more coordinated response from the RGC, donors, UN agencies, NGOs and others in the humanitarian community to future disasters. Also practice the disaster risk reduction initiatives at the community level and integrated in the Government development program to reduce the vulnerability’ Furthermore, DRR Forum is open space and encourage the paticipation form Local NGOs, CBOs and PCDM to bring up the issue and their voice up to the national level.
JAG: there is an implicit agreement amongst the JAG members that should one, or more, DiPECHO applicants not have their proposals approved that: unsuccessful DiPECHO applicant(s) will try to join the proposed activities in the same way but through other funding sources. where the unsuccessful DiPECHO applicant(s) was/were the lead agency(ies) in a specific activity, that this activity would then be potentially assigned in discussion with the JAG members to one (or more) of the successful agencies. The Joint Activities Group (JAG) has come out of coordination and information sharing concerning DRR activities between ActionAid, Oxfam (America), Oxfam (GB), Concern, Danish Red Cross, DanChurchAid/Christian Aid and ADPC, which has been taking place more formally since early January 2010.
