This document discusses defining success and achieving happiness. It argues that success is a personal and ongoing process rather than an endpoint. To achieve success, one must work hard, accept failure, and learn from mistakes. The document provides five tips: define success personally rather than comparing to others; reflect on one's values and strengths; utilize available opportunities and resources; share knowledge and opportunities with others; and actively pursue success through dedication and hard work rather than waiting for it passively. Overall, the document advocates defining success based on personal fulfillment rather than external measures and working to continuously progress along one's own goals and journey.
2. “My teacher asked me what I
want to be when I grow up, I
said happy.
She told me I don’t
understand the assignment, I
told her she doesn’t
understand life.”
-John Lennon
3. How Do You Define
Success?
Success is based on our own
perception and how we see
ourselves relevant to the world
around us.
4. Success..
Is not the final ending, but is rather the
accomplishments along the journey that have
personal meaning.
Success does not come to a halt once we
have achieved a goal.
Once a goal is accomplished, new goals must
be set; therefore one can define success as
an ongoing process.
5. Many believe success comes with luck, or in a passive state
of behavior. Many people blindly wait for it, blame others
when it doesn’t happen, and create reasons for not
achieving their own personal success.
6. We all have control over our own success and failures.
We are given choices on a daily basis, and it is what
we choose to do, how we act or don’t act, that will
provide us with the small and unexpected treasures
along the way.
8. Work Hard & Accept Failure
Success does not come wrapped in a beautiful box
with a red ribbon.
If you want to achieve success you need to push
through barriers, apply yourself, and get up every
time you fall.
For all of those no’s, there will eventually be a yes.
10. Define What Success Means To You Personally:
Success is not measured the same by everyone, as it
is an individual accomplishment. What might look or
feel successful to you may be the complete opposite to
another person.
Two people do not have to strive for the same type of
success.
12. Use The Tools You Are Given..
If someone gives you the tools for success, use them!
If you are given a chance or set up in a successful
situation, take those tools and run with them.
Use those tools to teach others, be grateful, give back,
and you will find even more success.
14. Make Success Happen..
Understand you make success rather than find it: Success
is not found, but rather, it is made. If you want to be successful
you need to work hard, dedicate yourself and strive to create
success.
Once you find success, share your tools with others to help
them define their own success and find their dreams.
