United States House of Representatives, Office of Rep. Jared Huffman. Intern. January 2016-Present
● Assisting on various research projects to provide support to the Congressman’s legislative agenda,
including California’s North Coast Dungeness crab disaster relief, trade adjustment assistance, and
President Obama’s executive actions on gun control.
● Interacting with constituents on a regular basis providing consistent communication through mailings,
front office duties and tour requests.
● Responsible for drafting fluid and substantive constituent letters on a wide range of issues including orca
captivity, mining law, offshore drilling, health care reform, climate change, conservation efforts and
social welfare nets.
● Attended congressional briefings and wrote reports to inform the staff and Congressman on legislative
issues, such as methods of providing health-care to our veterans and the Endangered Species Act.

Gray Whales Count. Research Assistant.
● Participated in ongoing research analyzing the effects of cargo ships and marine transport on the
migration of gray whales.
● Tracked the 4-month migration of gray whales from Mexico to Alaska through the Santa Barbara
Channel.
● Created and managed comprehensible data-entry while in the field working alongside multiple whale
trackers.
European Youth Parliament, 6th Regional Session of PACA. Event Coordinator. February 2011-2012
● Organized a four day regional session of the European Youth Parliament near Marseilles, culminating in a
mock-parliament held at the Hôtel de Région de Marseilles.
● Raised up to €20,000 to provide housing, catering, technical support, and supplies to over 150 participants
coming from across the European Union.
● Orchestrated debates and activities concerning European issues to encourage political participation among
young citizens.
