2. Aggression
Define Aggression?
Behavior that intended to harm and hurt another individual.
Behavior of any kind that is carried out with the intention of
harming another person.
Examples of aggressive behaviors.
Physical violence, such as biting, hitting, and kicking
Verbal hostility, like sending threatening messages through emails, phone
calls, or social media,
Nonverbal intimidation, such as making threatening gestures, sending
unwanted gifts, and sexual harassment
Destruction of property, like breaking someone's computer, destroying
someone's cell phone, or other forms of vandalism.

3. 1. Instrumental aggression :
Aggression aimed at obtaining an object,
privilege or space with no deliberate intent to harm another person (typical of
toddlers).
It is also called “Reactive aggressive behaviors”
Reactive aggressive behaviors :
Are unplanned and impulsive, and are usually a response to
feelings of anger, fear, or a need to retaliate against someone. When Misha pushes Sarah she's
demonstrating reactive behavior.

Aggression intended to harm another person,
such as hitting, kicking, or threatening to beat up someone.
It is also called “proactive aggressive behaviors”

Are calculated and planned actions that have some
motive other than harming someone?
Relational aggression :
A form of hostile aggression that does damage to another's peer
relationships, as in social exclusion or rumor spreading. Examples: "Go away, I'm not
going to be your friend anymore!" and "Don't play with Margie, she's a nerd."

Bullying :
The definition includes three important components:
1) Bulling is aggressive behavior that involves unwanted, negative action.
2) Bulling involves a pattern of behavior repeated over time.
3) Bulling involves an imbalance of power of strength.
Types of Bulling:

Physical bulling:
Can take many forms like
Hitting
Pushing
Slapping
Stealing
Lunch or money
Including books and cloth
6. Verbal Bulling:
To degrade and demean the victim, while making the
aggressive look dominant and powerful.
Relational Bulling:
Two types of relational Bulling
1. Proactive

Proactive :
Proactive relation aggression is when behavior is a mean for
achieving goals
For example: umair may need to exclude candy from his group in order to
maintain his own social status
Reactive :
Reactive relation aggression is behavior that is in response to
provocation, with the intent to retaliate.
For example: Sam gets teased in the hallways repeatedly and he may
become a teaser in order to protect himself from teasing
Cyber Bulling:
Occur when teens use communication technology to say
hurtful, embracing, or threating thing about another teen.
