Work Experience:
ARICENT GROUP, India - Software Developer and Consultant | August 2011 – May 2013
Increased productivity and optimized performance of the Mediation system team that interprets call data records and
runs code snippets to analyse the data for purposes of billing, revenue control.
Key Projects:
Custom Network Time Protocol (CNTP):
Designed and developed a protocol to synchronize time between nodes over a network.
Increased performance over the current synchronization protocol by timestamping the packets at the driver
level and calculating end-to-end delay over a direct link.
Image Processing using AWS:
Utilized cloud computing capability of AWS and PHP for hosting and processing images thereby providing them
with additional functionalities.
Custom Router in User Space:
Designed and implemented an IP router in user space to route packets with the aid of Quagga router.
Implemented a Custom RIP Daemon for dynamic routing and supporting of ICMP messages.
Fast and Reliable File Transfer Protocol using UDP:
Implemented a file transfer protocol to transfer a 1 GB file over a high latency and lossy link that yielded a
throughput of 40Mbps.
Fast and Reliable File Transfer Protocol using TCP:
Boosted a throughput of 11Mbps over a 100Mbps link - Hacked into TCP kernel modules to remove exponential
backoff and altered congestion window size for an RTT of 200ms and loss rate of 20% using TCP.
WEENIX Operating System:
Implemented various aspects of WEENIX Operating System - Processes, Threads, VFS layer and Virtual Memory
of WEENIX Operating System.
