3. Why Write a Long, Formal Report?
Reports focus on transmitting information with a
clear purpose.
Long Reports are complex one because they cover
thoroughly the topic.
Long Reports are not extensions of short report.
4. Types Of Long , Formal Reports
Informative
• Inform and teach your audience about your topic
• Focus on one type of informative speech:
OBJECTS, EVENTS, CONCEPTS, OR A PROCESS
5. Analytical
i. Find Factual Information.
ii. Interpret it.
iii. Draw Conclusions.
Recommendation
o Recommendations are actions
o Through action you can follow up your findings.
o Recommendation allows you to tell the audience the
cause of your action
