It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I provide this letter of
recommendation for Rachel Ragosta, PA‐C, RN for any health care position for which
she may apply.
I had the good fortune to meet Ms. Ragosta in March 2014 when she was completing
a month long rotation as a PA student at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute in
Spokane, WA. As a board certified physiatrist and staff physician at St. Luke’s, I
observed first hand Rachel’s unique and impressive set of medical knowledge, skills,
bedside manner, and interpersonal skills as she completed her rotation. Because of
these attributes, Rachel clearly stood out from the rest of the students rotating
through the facility.
To St. Luke’s very good fortune, Ms. Ragosta expressed an interest in employment
and was enthusiastically hired as a staff PA in September 2014, a position which she
currently holds. From day one Rachel distinguished herself as an integral member
of the St. Luke’s medical staff. Her medical knowledge and skills have been
unparalleled in comparison to other PA’s with comparable training. She
demonstrates an excellent bedside manner, and her interpersonal skills have
endeared her to patients, their families, and to colleagues/coworkers alike.
In addition to these aforementioned attributes, Ms. Ragosta has dedicated herself to
teaching and training staff members at St. Luke’s, and frequently formally delivers
medical lectures and skills training to PA students, nursing students, and medical
students that rotate through St. Luke’s. Finally, Rachel rarely passes up the
opportunity to attend continuing medical education lectures and skills training to
constantly improve and upgrade her knowledge and skills.
Ms. Ragosta’s extensive set of accomplishments, talents, knowledge, and skills
preclude me from mentioning them exhaustively in this letter. I can emphatically
state, however, that Rachel is a phenomenally talented individual with a skill set
that exceeds many physicians with whom I have worked and known. I am
extremely proud to call Rachel a colleague and a friend, and I strongly and
enthusiastically recommend her for any position to which she may apply.
