2011-Present Educational Consultant, Steinbeck in the Schools, San José, CA
Design curriculum for the “Steinbeck in the Schools” project for the
Martha Heasley Cox Center for Steinbeck Studies. Create cross-curricular
lessons, activities, and projects for use by middle and high school teachers
nationally. Units address various learning styles and academic abilities
and align with Common Core Standards.
2006-2011 History Teacher, Merryhill School, Milpitas, CA
Designed and implemented U.S. and World History curriculum for fifth
through eighth grades. Taught critical thinking and historical writing.
Students consistently won writing awards at chapter level of the Daughters
