How to Troubleshoot Apps for the Modern Connected Worker
Global warming
1.
2. What is global warming?
• Rise in the average climate of the Earth.
• Harmful greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide,
water vapour, nitrous oxide and methane.
• Trapped heat and light from
the sun causes Earth’s temperature
to rise.
6. What causes global warming?
• Pollution: land, air and water
• Electricity
• Fossil fuel burning: oil, petroleum
• Sources of electricity: T.V., refrigerators,
washing machines, lighting, air conditioners,
vehicles and so on.
8. Impacts
• Ozone layer depletion
• Rising sea levels
• Melting ice glaciers
• Heavy floods
• Periods of unusually warm weather
• Food shortage – famine
• Oceans warming up
• Health problems: lungs and skin related diseases
• Acid rain – destroys everything it touches

10.
11. Solutions – what can be done?
• Stop cutting trees, burning forests and
introduce environmental-friendly products.
• Discourage use of old vehicles. Fine anyone
found to be using old cars.
• Impose heavy fines on people and industries
for causing pollution.
• Plant more trees for absorption of CO2.
12. Continued…
• We can reduce our demand for fossil fuels
• Switch off unnecessary lighting.
• Recycle
• Government should create awareness.
• Encourage others to participate in attempts
to reduce global warming. Immediate
precautionary measures should be taken
before Mother Earth starts cleansing herself
of anything that is creating a misbalance.
