About Schoollog
YEARBOOK2019
01
Every child is unique, has his own set of
unique problems, has his way of learning.
At Schoollog, we aim to help every child
through modern technologies such as AI,
ML so that he focuses on the concepts in
which he is weak. Our platforms generate
content tailored for his learning curve, in
turn helping him excel. Behavior is an
extremely important part of student’s
learning and our platforms help schools
with insights on student's behavior. Most of
the times, students' lack of confidence in
concepts, or lack of patience/stamina to sit
through an exam and other such
behavioral issues are the main cause of
their low score. At Schoollog, we are
finding and resolving such issues bit by bit.

At Schoollog, we want to improve the
aptitude potential for every child in India, so
every child can choose his career according
to his learning curve. No child is ever forced
into a profession which he is not fit for.
Our mission:  “One Education for all. To
be able to provide a level playing field for
all educational institutions - rural or
urban, to provide our children better
infrastructure so that they can shape our
society better."
Our plans for the year 2020: We aim to
empower the next 1000 visionary
schools with our learning and
management solutions for the fiscal
year 2020. We will be rolling out
Schoollog Learning Platform for classes
6th to 12th. Our products would
empower students to create a strong
reasoning base and prepare for
competitive examinations such as IIT-
JEE/ NEET/KVPY/NTSE among others.

Challenges in scaling:   The premier
challenge faced by us in 2019 was to scale
our product to support the influx of new
clients and enable their onboarding with
ease in the least possible time.
We did the following:
For example:
We are a tech company first, we
introduce new products through
constant research and innovation.
Schoollog still likes to practice an informal
atmosphere like a small company, even
though it has grown tremendously over
the past few years. We like to ensure that
our employees believe that Schoollog is a
good fit for their skill set, personality and
future goals.
We host weekly talk sessions where an
employee can speak on a topic of their
choice, with active participation from
others listening. This helps many come out
of their shells, lose the fear of public
speaking, enables inter-department
communication, promotes positive and
constructive thinking and holistic
development.
We also induct interns in our team each
year as our way of giving back to the
community and help our youth develop a
new skill set. They really get to benefit
from the mentorship of our employees,
who we believe to be exceptional humans.
The techies get real exposure to the
exciting technologies and challenges out in
the world and the business/ops
enthusiasts get involved in real strategy
sessions and get to meet some
accomplished school directors and other
administration.

BETTER PRODUCTS, PROVIDE BETTER SERVICE.
How is Schoollog different from other
players out in the market in
technology:
Most startups build a basic MVP for the
market and then solely focus on business
and market. We like to think of ourselves
as a tech company first and using our
technical capabilities as a competitive
advantage, thus we keep on researching
and introducing new tech to build better
products, provide better service and
thereby ensure better business and
market recognition.

Ready to skyrocket
Target customer: We have solutions not
limited to managing day to day processes of
the school, but also empowering schools
with learning solutions to provide
personalised learning to every student. Our
solutions cater to schools of all segments as
we have solutions such as website,
attendance solutions for schools with
students of low economic stature and we
have solutions such as Schoollog Learning
Program for  schools with students of high
economic stature.
Sales challenge: Sales is in itself a
challenging task. At the start of this year, we
set an ambitious target of onboarding
another 300 schools and we have exceeded
our targets by miles.
According to a 2016 KPMG report, the
Indian EdTech market is pegged to touch
$1.96 billion by 2021. We aim to be in the
top 5 players in the B2B segment in 2020
and have a presence in 10 states across
India.
Best vertical to be in, start your
venture in Ed-tech: With the internet wave
gripping India, it is the best time to
empower students with tech solutions.
Education has entirely been limited to
classrooms untill now, but the adoption rate
of tech solutions has increased substantially
over the years. We have recorded API calls
of 20 million parents and teachers on our
applications in a year. School management
has gone online, schools are generally
stereotyped that they have conventional
working style, but that is a thing for past
now, 1000 directors and principals of
leading schools across India are automating
their schools with our solution. So yes! The
best time is now.
YEARBOOK2019
06
Although adoption rate of management
and learning solutions in schools has
increased, decision-makers in schools are
resistant to change their conventional
methods, teachers fear adopting new tech
solutions, which later prove to increase
output and save time. I feel there will be a
day when the schools shall be free from
such technophobia.
Sales achievement: We have been able
to on-board some leading institutions of
the nation such as Prince Education Hub
with us, which demonstrates the
organisational strength, streamlined
processes and service of Schoollog. We
have grown from a team of 2 people to a
team of 50+ people in these 4 years.
Future scope:  Technology can play a
positive role in a child's learning and
development. Leading edTech companies
such as Byju's, Toppr are providing various
solutions to facilitate the effective learning of
students. But we feel that the schooling system
does play a necessary role which cannot be
omitted. If provided with the right tools and
technology, schools can facilitate faster growth
in a child’s learning, aptitude, problem-solving
and provide them with the basics necessary to
tackle various competitive exams and
interviews later. Concept-based and adaptive
learning and test platforms are being adopted
more and more in schools, with the use of
technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and
Machine Learning, which help generate
conclusive insights and analytics for tests and
learning.
We are hiring: We are on the path of
revolutionizing the education sector with our
offerings. We are expanding manifolds in 2020
and are looking for bright minds committed to
our cause. Feel free to connect with us at

A robust backend architecture is the
hidden backbone of any IT product.
To keep it strong, our tech stack is
based on a microservice architecture
which sits behind a load balancer
and proxy server, includes
containerized applications, which
provide varied array of micro
services- from user authentication to
data processing pipelines that
crunch data for analytics and
reports. We use highly secure
relational and document database
such as RDS, redis and mongoDB to
store multi-tenant encrypted data.
Apps have become more interactive
to enable users perform the
required tasks smoothly and in a
customized way. Our app for
parents gives them on-the-spot
updates to their child’s activities
and progress. Our apps for school
directors, principals and teachers
provide hands-on access to
countless features, focusing on
greater productivity and delivering
real-time information. All of this
while never compromising User

Achieving streamlined workflows and
processes require a lot of planning,
organizing, managing, controlling and

operations can turn a bullock cart into a
rocket ship. We strive to reflect these
qualities in our products so the schools

A strong brand communicates what your
business does, how it does it, and at the
same time, establishes trust and
credibility with the clients. For schools,
its parents, students and teachers are
their primary clients. Thus, we strive
hard to shape our product and services
in a way that creates a trusted and
polished school brand, reflects their
values and garner a well-known

concentric user experience for Schoollog users.
ERP’s main job is to make school staff’s lives
easier, thus understanding and using it should be
an equally easy task for them. Additionally, it

I feel the product features must be structured,
clean and well-planned. My focus is to use the
vast sea of available data and generate insightful
and useful reports and display relevant and
minimal content. Faster loading time is also
important to save those precious seconds.
Partial reason of Schoollog’s success as a
company is that we are adaptive, resilient,
customer-centred and quick to change
direction. My role is to keep the employees
engaged with the changes, and keeping
them happy and motivated. I am always on
the lookout for skilled and motivated people
who can contribute greatly to the company’s
goals and objectives.
PS. It’s fun to organise parties too.
Building great products is
invigorating. I feel a great
responsibility to ensure that the
features we develop have a
successful adoption rate and
the end-users feel a real value
addition. I like working closely
with the product team to satisfy
our clients’ requests, although
it also requires making difficult
trade-off decisions based on
the value it will add to our
product.

Being a large institute, it was quite
difficult for multiple teachers to
maintain the raw data.
Difficulty in keeping records centralized.
Not able to retrieve proper data at the
time of need.
Creating reports such as student’s attendance reports, transport records,
teacher’s performance reports, financial reports and more from
unorganized data was painstaking tasks for admins.
DAFFODILSWORLDSCHOOL
Daffodils World School's vision is to evoke a passion for learning and develop the
requisite set of attitudes, skills, and knowledge that enables learners to maximize their
potential towards becoming positive, responsible and well-informed participants in our
democratic and rapidly professing global community.
ChallengesandRequirements:
Authorities were unable to keep track of
dues fees and following up on them. It
led to quite a loss of potential revenue.
Manually converting unprocessed data
into an actionable insightful report
requires a dedicated employee.

Transforming the face of education.
Benefits of concept based
learning
Concept-based learning in contrast to traditional learning focuses on core
concepts that foster knowledge and facilitates learning. The traditional
methods merely connect students to the source of information which may or
may not be retained for a longer period of time, whereas, conceptual learning
focuses on making the students understand the core idea to retain the
information as valuable knowledge which they can apply throughout their
lives.
Also known as inquiry-based education, it is built around learners. This
methodology promotes open communication based on understanding and
respect which encourages students to become active, compassionate and
lifelong learners. Such a form of education is holistic in nature that keeps the
whole individual in mind along with keeping in concern an individual's
cognitive development, their concern for social, emotional and physical well-
being likewise.
A lot of research and development goes into creating these concepts and
imparting the same to the students. Concept learning focuses of making
sense of facts instead of just stating them. The approach brings
complimentary dimensions to thinking and learning. It gives rise to innovation,
creativity and better productivity.
A concept-driven education focuses on developing an effective approach to
teaching and learning; empowering young people for a lifetime of learning,
independently and in collaboration with others and preparing a community of
learners that engage with global challenges through inquiry, action, and
reflection. Concept based instructions introduces a student to universal rules
and engages them in the true process of learning. It helps a student create a
connection with their prior experience creating a deeper connect with the
understanding of content knowledge which further helps students in
responding to their learning with appropriate actions.

Here’s a lot of buzz about how can technology help education. From toddlers
to teenagers, kids today are more tech savvy and reliant on technology than
ever before. Unfortunately, while this has its benefits, there’s no denying the
negative aspects. Technology overload can lead to social withdrawal, too many
hours on the internet and addiction to games, smartphones and social media.
So, wouldn’t it be better to keep gadgets out of the classroom and stick to
tried and tested teaching methods? Well, not necessarily.
Experts agree that used the right way, technology can enhance the learning
experience. And not just for students, either. But for educators, too. Of
course, technology will never – and should never – replace flesh and blood
teachers. That said, educators are steadily seeing the benefits of blended
learning. And if new technologies enhance the learning experience, doesn’t it
stand to reason that teachers would be willing to embrace them? But how
exactly does technology help teachers create a more productive and effective
learning environment? And what do students stand to gain?
Let’s have a look.
How can technology help in child's
productivity?

Helping Teachers Overcome Classroom
Challenges:
Ask any teacher what their biggest classroom challenges are, and
they’re bound to mention at least one (and probably several) of the
following:
Students who are easily bored, or have a short attention span.
Varied and conflicting personalities: those who shine, those who are
disruptive, those who are extroverted and those who prefer to hide
away at the back of the classroom. Constantly having to think up a
novel and innovative ways to keep students interested, motivated and
entertained.
Encouraging participation and interaction from everyone.
Working with large class numbers which often include students of
differing learning levels.
Providing tailor-made support to meet the individual needs of each
student.
Keeping on top of paperwork, timetables, and implementing strict
lesson plans while staying within the curriculum.

Market size and
internet penetration
help EdTech startups
& educational
institutes
With the rise of Jio in India, India has risen from
125 rank in Internet Usage worldwide to no 1 in
2019. With such sudden rise in data usage by
Indians, it has opened the doors of integration
of technology in Education. Nearly 2/3rd of
Indians i.e 451 million users being connected
with Internet, there is a mass wave of solutions
that have erupted in recent times in the EdTech
sector. Test platforms have also seen a surge,
with all the government held examinations going
online. To keep up, schools and coaching
institutes are busy upgrading their IT
infrastructure accordingly. It is estimated that
with an annual growth rate of 20-25% at an
average ticket size of INR 10,000, the test
market value currently stands at around INR
18,000 crore.
With 28 crore learners in the K-12 segment,
India is the world’s biggest education market.
Also, about 87 percent of primary school
children and up to 95 per cent of high school
students are taking private tutoring in metro
cities. So there is scope for solutions that focus
on helping the educational institutions to tap
this potential market. Coaching industry in India
is itself a $6.5 billion industry, as per reports,
which is growing year on year at a rapid pace.
Thus, its necessary for institutes to upgrade
their processes or else miss out on the new
revolution.

  • 3. Schoollog is a platform for educational institutions to empower students' learning with adaptive content. At Schoollog, we are helping students balance scoring with learning. Also, our web- and app- based process management and engagement platform for educational institutions provides them with a faster and cost-effective way to manage their day-to-day operations and promote their brand reach without setting up their own IT infrastructure. Building a Community of Faith About Schoollog YEARBOOK2019 01
  • 4. Every child is unique, has his own set of unique problems, has his way of learning. At Schoollog, we aim to help every child through modern technologies such as AI, ML so that he focuses on the concepts in which he is weak. Our platforms generate content tailored for his learning curve, in turn helping him excel. Behavior is an extremely important part of student’s learning and our platforms help schools with insights on student's behavior. Most of the times, students' lack of confidence in concepts, or lack of patience/stamina to sit through an exam and other such behavioral issues are the main cause of their low score. At Schoollog, we are finding and resolving such issues bit by bit. Manoj Kumar C E O , S C H O O L L O G Our vision 2025 is to improve the life outcome of every child. YEARBOOK2019 02
  • 5. At Schoollog, we want to improve the aptitude potential for every child in India, so every child can choose his career according to his learning curve. No child is ever forced into a profession which he is not fit for. Our mission:  “One Education for all. To be able to provide a level playing field for all educational institutions - rural or urban, to provide our children better infrastructure so that they can shape our society better." Our plans for the year 2020: We aim to empower the next 1000 visionary schools with our learning and management solutions for the fiscal year 2020. We will be rolling out Schoollog Learning Platform for classes 6th to 12th. Our products would empower students to create a strong reasoning base and prepare for competitive examinations such as IIT- JEE/ NEET/KVPY/NTSE among others. YEARBOOK2019 03
  • 6. PassionBuilt with Creating common code libraries on hybrid and native platforms to enable faster app production builds across different mobile OS. Using new web technologies to enable faster development using reusable components and easier data management. Reviewing backend codebase and identifying bottlenecks to improve performance manifold in areas where scalability is essential. Defaulters Report optimization - for 1000 students- reduced the time from 2 mins to 20 secs currently Sending SMS + app notifications- throughput in 1 minute: older - 500+ SMS, current - 15k+ Challenges in scaling:   The premier challenge faced by us in 2019 was to scale our product to support the influx of new clients and enable their onboarding with ease in the least possible time. We did the following: For example: We are a tech company first, we introduce new products through constant research and innovation. Schoollog still likes to practice an informal atmosphere like a small company, even though it has grown tremendously over the past few years. We like to ensure that our employees believe that Schoollog is a good fit for their skill set, personality and future goals. We host weekly talk sessions where an employee can speak on a topic of their choice, with active participation from others listening. This helps many come out of their shells, lose the fear of public speaking, enables inter-department communication, promotes positive and constructive thinking and holistic development. We also induct interns in our team each year as our way of giving back to the community and help our youth develop a new skill set. They really get to benefit from the mentorship of our employees, who we believe to be exceptional humans. The techies get real exposure to the exciting technologies and challenges out in the world and the business/ops enthusiasts get involved in real strategy sessions and get to meet some accomplished school directors and other administration. How is Schoollog different from other players out in the market in technology: Most startups build a basic MVP for the market and then solely focus on business and market. We like to think of ourselves as a tech company first and using our technical capabilities as a competitive advantage, thus we keep on researching and introducing new tech to build better products, provide better service and thereby ensure better business and market recognition. • 8. Ready to skyrocket Target customer: We have solutions not limited to managing day to day processes of the school, but also empowering schools with learning solutions to provide personalised learning to every student. Our solutions cater to schools of all segments as we have solutions such as website, attendance solutions for schools with students of low economic stature and we have solutions such as Schoollog Learning Program for  schools with students of high economic stature. Sales challenge: Sales is in itself a challenging task. At the start of this year, we set an ambitious target of onboarding another 300 schools and we have exceeded our targets by miles. According to a 2016 KPMG report, the Indian EdTech market is pegged to touch $1.96 billion by 2021. We aim to be in the top 5 players in the B2B segment in 2020 and have a presence in 10 states across India. Best vertical to be in, start your venture in Ed-tech: With the internet wave gripping India, it is the best time to empower students with tech solutions. Education has entirely been limited to classrooms untill now, but the adoption rate of tech solutions has increased substantially over the years. We have recorded API calls of 20 million parents and teachers on our applications in a year. School management has gone online, schools are generally stereotyped that they have conventional working style, but that is a thing for past now, 1000 directors and principals of leading schools across India are automating their schools with our solution. So yes! The best time is now. YEARBOOK2019 06
  • 9. Although adoption rate of management and learning solutions in schools has increased, decision-makers in schools are resistant to change their conventional  methods, teachers fear adopting new tech solutions, which later prove to increase output and save time. I feel there will be a day when the schools shall be free from such technophobia. Sales achievement: We have been able to on-board some leading institutions of the nation such as Prince Education Hub with us, which demonstrates the organisational strength, streamlined processes and service of Schoollog. We have grown from a team of 2 people to a team of 50+ people in these 4 years.  Future scope:  Technology can play a positive role in a child's learning and development. Leading edTech companies such as Byju's, Toppr are providing various  solutions to facilitate the effective learning of students. But we feel that the schooling system does play a necessary role which cannot be omitted. If provided with the right tools and technology, schools can facilitate faster growth in a child’s learning, aptitude, problem-solving and provide them with the basics necessary to tackle various competitive exams and interviews later. Concept-based and adaptive learning and test platforms are being adopted more and more in schools, with the use of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which help generate conclusive insights and analytics for tests and learning. We are hiring: We are on the path of revolutionizing the education sector with our offerings. We are expanding manifolds in 2020 and are looking for bright minds committed to our cause. Feel free to connect with us at http://bit.ly/sllnkdin, if this excites you. To know more visit us at www.schoollog.in Abhishek Singh C M O , S C H O O L L O G YEARBOOK2019 07

To keep it strong, our tech stack is based on a microservice architecture which sits behind a load balancer and proxy server, includes containerized applications, which provide varied array of micro services- from user authentication to data processing pipelines that crunch data for analytics and reports. We use highly secure relational and document database such as RDS, redis and mongoDB to store multi-tenant encrypted data. Apps have become more interactive to enable users perform the required tasks smoothly and in a customized way. Our app for parents gives them on-the-spot updates to their child’s activities and progress. Our apps for school directors, principals and teachers provide hands-on access to countless features, focusing on greater productivity and delivering real-time information. • 11. Achieving streamlined workflows and processes require a lot of planning, organizing, managing, controlling and supervising. But eventually, smooth operations can turn a bullock cart into a rocket ship. We strive to reflect these qualities in our products so the schools don’t need to go through these hardships and can focus on educating. Not only am I a manager, I'm a repairman, an IT guy,  a support person, a problem solver, and if need be, your best friend too. Abhishek Saini O P E R A T I O N S M A N A G E R Sachin Bakshi N A T I O N A L S A L E S H E A D ERP enables error-free, effortless management to schools. Due to internet penetration to every nook and corner of the nation, ERP and such services have seen a rise in its adoption. Being the Sales Head, I like pitching to schools and engaging with such intellectual people everyday. Also, it feels enriching when schools are grateful for introducing efficiency and eliminating mundane repetitive tasks from their business lives. Amir Mansoori C U S T O M E R A C Q U I S I T I O N H E A D First impression is truly important. Thus hassle- free onboarding of a new client is a must. For a school, switching your platform should not feel like shifting to a new house in a new city. It’s our job everyday to make every important aspect of customer experience a little bit better. Thanks to our product team, Schoollog is already quite easy to understand and use. But don’t worry, my team will take you rest of the way. Pooja Bhardwaj B R A N D M A N A G E R A strong brand communicates what your business does, how it does it, and at the same time, establishes trust and credibility with the clients. For schools, its parents, students and teachers are their primary clients. Thus, we strive hard to shape our product and services in a way that creates a trusted and polished school brand, reflects their values and garner a well-known reputation. YEARBOOK2019 09
  • 12. My main goal is to create an intuitive and business concentric user experience for Schoollog users. ERP’s main job is to make school staff’s lives easier, thus understanding and using it should be an equally easy task for them. Additionally, it should look quite clean and professional. Rahul Kumar S E N I O R D E V E L O P E R Ashish Panwar S E N I O R D E V E L O P E R Arvind Shokal S E N I O R D E V E L O P E R Simran Jain H R M A N A G E R YEARBOOK2019 10 I feel the product features must be structured, clean and well-planned. My focus is to use the vast sea of available data and generate insightful and useful reports and display relevant and minimal content. Faster loading time is also important to save those precious seconds. Partial reason of Schoollog’s success as a company is that we are adaptive, resilient, customer-centred and quick to change direction. My role is to keep the employees engaged with the changes, and keeping them happy and motivated. I am always on the lookout for skilled and motivated people who can contribute greatly to the company’s goals and objectives. PS. It’s fun to organise parties too. Building great products is invigorating. I feel a great responsibility to ensure that the features we develop have a successful adoption rate and the end-users feel a real value addition. I like working closely with the product team to satisfy our clients’ requests, although it also requires making difficult trade-off decisions based on the value it will add to our product.

  • 20. Being a large institute, it was quite difficult for multiple teachers to maintain the raw data. Difficulty in keeping records centralized. Not able to retrieve proper data at the time of need. Creating reports such as student’s attendance reports, transport records, teacher’s performance reports, financial reports and more from unorganized data was painstaking tasks for admins. DAFFODILSWORLDSCHOOL Daffodils World School's vision is to evoke a passion for learning and develop the requisite set of attitudes, skills, and knowledge that enables learners to maximize their potential towards becoming positive, responsible and well-informed participants in our democratic and rapidly professing global community. ChallengesandRequirements: Authorities were unable to keep track of dues fees and following up on them. It led to quite a loss of potential revenue. Manually converting unprocessed data into an actionable insightful report requires a dedicated employee. Benefits of concept based learning Concept-based learning in contrast to traditional learning focuses on core concepts that foster knowledge and facilitates learning. The traditional methods merely connect students to the source of information which may or may not be retained for a longer period of time, whereas, conceptual learning focuses on making the students understand the core idea to retain the information as valuable knowledge which they can apply throughout their lives. Also known as inquiry-based education, it is built around learners. This methodology promotes open communication based on understanding and respect which encourages students to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners. Such a form of education is holistic in nature that keeps the whole individual in mind along with keeping in concern an individual's cognitive development, their concern for social, emotional and physical well- being likewise. A lot of research and development goes into creating these concepts and imparting the same to the students. Concept learning focuses of making sense of facts instead of just stating them. The approach brings complimentary dimensions to thinking and learning. It gives rise to innovation, creativity and better productivity. A concept-driven education focuses on developing an effective approach to teaching and learning; empowering young people for a lifetime of learning, independently and in collaboration with others and preparing a community of learners that engage with global challenges through inquiry, action, and reflection. Concept based instructions introduces a student to universal rules and engages them in the true process of learning. It helps a student create a connection with their prior experience creating a deeper connect with the understanding of content knowledge which further helps students in responding to their learning with appropriate actions. • 23. Here’s a lot of buzz about how can technology help education. From toddlers to teenagers, kids today are more tech savvy and reliant on technology than ever before. Unfortunately, while this has its benefits, there’s no denying the negative aspects. Technology overload can lead to social withdrawal, too many hours on the internet and addiction to games, smartphones and social media. So, wouldn’t it be better to keep gadgets out of the classroom and stick to tried and tested teaching methods? Well, not necessarily. Experts agree that used the right way, technology can enhance the learning experience. And not just for students, either. But for educators, too. Of course, technology will never – and should never – replace flesh and blood teachers. That said, educators are steadily seeing the benefits of blended learning. And if new technologies enhance the learning experience, doesn’t it stand to reason that teachers would be willing to embrace them? But how exactly does technology help teachers create a more productive and effective learning environment? And what do students stand to gain? Let’s have a look. How can technology help in child's productivity? YEARBOOK2019 21

Helping Teachers Overcome Classroom Challenges: Ask any teacher what their biggest classroom challenges are, and they’re bound to mention at least one (and probably several) of the following: Students who are easily bored, or have a short attention span. Varied and conflicting personalities: those who shine, those who are disruptive, those who are extroverted and those who prefer to hide away at the back of the classroom. Constantly having to think up a novel and innovative ways to keep students interested, motivated and entertained. Encouraging participation and interaction from everyone. Working with large class numbers which often include students of differing learning levels. Providing tailor-made support to meet the individual needs of each student. Keeping on top of paperwork, timetables, and implementing strict lesson plans while staying within the curriculum. YEARBOOK2019 22

With such sudden rise in data usage by Indians, it has opened the doors of integration of technology in Education. Nearly 2/3rd of Indians i.e 451 million users being connected with Internet, there is a mass wave of solutions that have erupted in recent times in the EdTech sector. Test platforms have also seen a surge, with all the government held examinations going online. To keep up, schools and coaching institutes are busy upgrading their IT infrastructure accordingly. It is estimated that with an annual growth rate of 20-25% at an average ticket size of INR 10,000, the test market value currently stands at around INR 18,000 crore. With 28 crore learners in the K-12 segment, India is the world’s biggest education market. Also, about 87 percent of primary school children and up to 95 per cent of high school students are taking private tutoring in metro cities. So there is scope for solutions that focus on helping the educational institutions to tap this potential market. Coaching industry in India is itself a $6.5 billion industry, as per reports, which is growing year on year at a rapid pace. Thus, its necessary for institutes to upgrade their processes or else miss out on the new revolution. YEARBOOK2019 23
