“Stitch is a

3. Archipelago is a sea or
stretch of water containing
many islands. I don’t think
Stitch likes the Archipelago
very much.. Lets show him
something else.. “Lets go
Pinkie and Stitch!”

4. An atoll is a ring-shaped,
island, or chain of islands
formed by coral. “Pinkie,
why are you upside
down?” Pinkie- “Because
it’s so much FUNNNN!!”

Earth’s surface in which thick
layers of sediment have
accumulated. Some basins
are bowl-shaped while others
are long stretched out
shapes.

6. An area of the sea that
stretches into land.

7. A canal is an artificial
waterway constructed to
allow the passage of boats or
ships inland or to convey
water for irrigation.

8. A deep gorge, sometimes
has a river flowing through it.
“Hey Stitch, are you starting

9. A cape is a piece of land
that goes out into the sea.
Like Cape Cod! ;)

10. A river delta is a landform
that forms at the mouth of a
river, where the river flows
into a body of water. Deltas
form from sediment carried
by the river as the water flows
out.

11.  A desert is a large, dry,
barren region, and usually
has sandy or rocky soil
and very little vegetation.

12. A fjord is a long, narrow sea
that is bordered by steep
cliffs.

13. A gulf is a large area of a sea
or ocean and its partially
close to some land. “Are you
liking it so far here, Stitch?”
*nods head yes* “That’s

14. An island is a big piece of
land surrounded by water.

15. An isthmus is a narrow strip of
land with water on either side
joining two larger portions of
land.

16. A lake is a large body of
water surrounded by land.

17. A mountain is a natural
elevation of the earth’s
surface rising from the
ground.

18. An ocean is a body of salt
water that covers nearly
three fourths of the earth.

19. A peninsula is a piece of land
surrounded by water.

20. A large area of flat land with
some trees including a few
animals. Like the bison in the
picture!  Pinkie & Stitch
seem very happy!

21. A plateau is an area with
very high ground.

22. A river is a large natural
stream of flowing water that
makes its way into the sea, a
lake, or another stream of
such.

23. Part of an ocean that is
partially surrounded by land.

24. A narrow passage of water
connecting two seas or two
large areas of water.

25. A valley is a low area of land
between hills or mountains.
Occasionally with a river
flowing through it.

26. A volcano is a mountain or
hill having a crater or vent
with lava and rock fragments
that are being erupted
through the earths surface.
