Knowledge—Aspiration—Respect
Dear Parents,
Summer time is a wonderful time in our schools—warm weather means that children enjoy
plenty of time outside and our sports teaching of the past year culminates in children demonstrating
their excellent sporting prowess.
We are proud of our sporting achievements and want our children’s sports kit to reflect the
excellence of their ability. To this end, we will be stricter about our sports kits from September 2015,
and each child will be expected to have: a Pimlico Primary white top; plain dark navy bottoms; plain
black plimsolls or trainers. Further notice will be given of this ahead of September.
The best feature — for me — of our final terms, however, is to see the end-of-year academic
achievement of our pupils. In our three schools this has been an extremely purposeful and successful
year in teaching and learning, and I feel confident that parents will agree with me when they receive
results and reports in July.
One factor that makes an enormous contribution to high achievement is excellent attendance.
That is why our schools work so hard to promote very high levels of attendance, and expect
attendance of 97%. To date, we have not quite reached that level—but we will keep on trying and
never stop aiming high!
Yours,
Alyson Russen, Executive Principal
