3. MISSION STATEMENT
UKF is one of the UK’s major suppliers of stainless steel and in particular
stainless steel tube. From humble beginnings in 1992 we have supplied
stainless steel in various forms to many types of industry throughout Europe.
As a result of an increasing demand from our customers for the range of
products and the level of service that we supply we have enjoyed continuous
growth and look forward to the future with anticipation.
We hold extensive stocks at our conveniently located warehouse in
Bromsgrove and our partnerships with the world’s key manufacturers mean
we can supply what you want, when you want. UKF is not just a stockholder
but also a processor of stainless steel. With a multi-skilled workforce and an
expanding manufacturing resource we can support our customers with
added value operations and a variety of surface finishes.

4. THE COMPANY
Established in 1992, UKF Stainless Ltd. provides it's customers with quality
materials at competitive prices and good customer relationships. We aim to
give a smooth, problem-free service from the initial order to the final delivery.
Our vision is targeted at tomorrow's needs. Close ties with our mill suppliers
and our customers keep us abreast of supply side innovations, changes,
and application needs. Our active role in industry associations keeps us
abreast of the latest productivity tools and current trends. We continuously
invest in new equipment and employee training to enhance quality,
productivity, and customer service.
Located in the Midlands, near the intersection of the M5 and M42,
UKF Stainless Ltd. is ideally situated to provide fast nationwide coverage,
using our own fleet of delivery vehicles. Our modern premises mean that
we can maintain a high level of stock, ensuring customer orders can be
met and delivered to schedule.

5. PRODUCTS
One of the UK’s leading suppliers and stockholders of plain welded stainless
steel exhaust tube, we supply material in standard lengths as well as
precision-cut to customer demand. Our Midlands location with close access
to the UK motorway network ensures fast distribution nationwide, with our
own specially designed HGV fleet making a significant contribution to
meeting JIT delivery requirements.
Product is generally stocked in the as-welded condition but we also hold a
complete range of polished material, and for more difficult tube manipulation,
a selection of fully annealed materials is always held in stock.
With a huge inventory of perforated exhaust tubing, we believe we have one
of the largest supplies of its kind anywhere in Europe. Thanks to its beautifully
shiny texture, strength and durability, our polished stainless steel ornamental
tube has increasingly become an ideal replacement for more traditional
products in architectural applications.
As well as stainless steel tube, we also hold one of the UK’s most complete
stocks of welded stainless steel pipe, manufactured to ASTM A312
specification. Bars, sections, sheet and plate complete this extensive product
offering although additional products can also be supplied on quick lead
times. These range from hexagonal and square bars, equal and unequal
angles, channels and I beams to T sections, wire wool, welded mesh,
perforated sheet, hollow and threaded bars.

6. SERVICES
CUTTING
The company has a purpose built cutting shop that contains a bank of
modern state of the art fully automatic and semi-automatic saws as well
as handsaw and bandsaw cutting. The automatic machines have in-line
de-burring and washing facilities with stand alone de-burring and washing
machines also available.
All machines have the ability to hold exceedingly tight tolerances
(+/- 0.15mm) on diameters ranging from 6mm – 153mm with cut lengths
on the automatic saws up to 3,000mm. Fast changeovers allow flexibility
to meet customers demand for a just in time service and cost effectiveness
to encompass small and large sized volumes.
POLISHING
The company has its own in-house polishing facility that enables a quick
reaction to the supply of polished tube. With a purpose built multi-head
polishing machine it is possible to supply the complete range of finishes
from a dull 180 grit to a super mirror 600 grit.
The polishing service can accommodate any length of tube whether
it be small specialist components or full 6 metre lengths. Any diameter
of tube can be polished from 12mm to 127mm with the polishing of round
bar also being available.

PERFORATING
To compliment our existing range of stock based products, UKF has set
up a dedicated manufacturing company, The Joint Perforating Company,
which specialises in the manufacture of interrupted perforated tubes.
The process perforates pre-formed tube in one operation, saving time,
costs and providing an end result that also visually enhances the product.
This combination makes JPC the preferred choice within the automotive
and domestic appliance markets.
Using the latest manufacturing technology, JPC provides effective
perforating in a variety of materials including stainless steel, titanium,
mild steel and aluminised zinc coated steel from 32mm to 80mm outside
diameter in lengths up to 1000mm.
MANIPULATION
A bigger demand is being received for the supply of manipulated
components that the customer can buy fit for purpose on a just
in time basis. As a result a sizeable investment has been made
into this area with the company also having its own tool-room that
is able to provide the manipulation department with technical
expertise whilst also producing our own in-house tooling quickly
and effectively.

UKF Stainless Ltd. are fully registered to BS EN ISO9001:2008 thus
ensuring that our customers' needs are fully met leading to complete
customer satisfaction.
Our Quality Mission Statement "It is our intention to maintain a competitive
edge over our rivals by remaining receptive and adaptable to changing
customer needs, whilst remaining steadfast within a culture synonymous
with continual improvement" aims to be the driving force behind all our
company's developments and activities, but still allows us to be flexible
to changing customer and market needs.
New Project Introduction and Project Management are our cornerstone
activities to create a "right first time" attitude ensuring all customers
requirements can and are met. Full level 3 PPAP reports are available
on request if required.
The use of rigorous internal audits, continual training of our staff,
monitoring and measuring of all our processes with planned and
predictive maintenance ensures all our policies and procedures can
be met at all times.
