2. OVERVIEW
Pharmacist is called a Prescriptionist in Norway. There
is no need to pass the pharmacist exam for the
registration, you can practice as pharmacist in Norway
with your Pharmacist degree from your homeland
because you'll work there as a prescriptionist.
There are four steps for achieving the authorization
and license of a Pharmacist/ Prescriptionist in Norway.

3. LANGUAGE COURSE
Language course in the Norwegian language is compulsory to
find job or for contacting Norwegian people. Basic steps are
required. You can take admission in any Norwegian language
course at any University in Norway.
To take admission you must have an IELTS score of at least 5.5
bands which is compulsory to take admission at any University
in Norway.
Try to learn Norwegian at home while you can easily attempt a
Language exam in Norway so that you can take admission in
Norwegian language Level 2 and in Level 3 directly, if you have
already an idea about Level 1 on the Norwegian language. By
doing this you can save your money and time.
4. DOCUMENTS

5. AUTHORIZATION APPLICATION
Altinn is a Norwegian Form Portal where you can get
authorization and license application forms. Go to
https://www.altinn.no/, the website is completely in Norwegian
Language convert that in English then start your work at the
Health Directorate of Norway.
Go to Authorization and License for Health Personnel and
choose your profession, carefully fill education details, work
experiences, upload relevant documents and proceed to the
payment details.
After the successful completion of your registration process (1-
16 months), you will receive a License of Reseptarfarmasøyt
(Prescriptionist) from the Directorate of Health Norway at your
Email, and Postal Address by post.
6. VISA PROCESSING
Admission in University for Norwegian language is
required for visa application. Before submitting
application for visa in Norwegian Embassy you must
have Residential contract letter from Norway.
You can make a house rental contract with any
Norwegian to get a residency letter from Norway or
You can apply for hostel in University during Norwegian
language courses.
Submit your application in Norwegian Embassy in
Islamabad or Lahore, Pakistan along-with all original
documents and wait for 02-06 months to receive Visa.
7. SCOPE OF PHARMACIST
