5. CASE STUDY: FOLIO BUSINESS LAW
- NAME AND CORPORATE IDENTITY.
The brief started out simply as business card designs for two solicitors
leaving a large city legal firm to form Property Business Law.
In the middle of a recession. With major construction companies, building
firms and their associated financial partners running for cover.
So we listened and we talked. And then we took Gisella and Andrew on
a journey. A new name, a new corporate identity - and a new website and
a small brochure. Yes, times are hard - so ideas have to work harder.
The colourful, eye-catching logo captures the personal service offered by
Folio and has impact and relevance in a sea of bland burgundy
competitors.

8. CASE HISTORY: FOUNDATION66
FOUNDATION66 is one of the country’s largest alcohol misuse service
providers - and supports thousands of people across London with an
integrated range of alcohol and drug services.
Formed when two established organisations merged, our client had been
looking for a new name and corporate identity for over a year - but
without success. Fortunately, they decided to look further afield and
Holden & Sons were appointed with the challenging task.
We commissioned research and spent time with everyone involved in the
organisation, from the Board of Trustees and senior management, to
frontline workers and, of course, service users. From first stage
concepts through to
a shortlist of names and logos, we took our client on a journey, arriving at
a new name and corporate identity which was unanimously accepted by
the Board.

9. CASE STUDY: MAKE US A BREW When Mr Scruff, the famous
Manchester DJ, told me he
wanted to develop his own tea
brand, we fixed up a tea tasting
with our client Booths.
The rest is history, as they say.
