Results oriented engineer with (8+ years of hardware and software development Projects in
aerospace, manufacturing, medical, and power/energy industries for ISO certified operations)
with a track record of using creativity, critical thinking, and hard work ethic to lead technical
teams in overcoming big design and development challenges.
CORE COMPETENCIES
System Integration / Software Development
• Designed, developed and implemented a Vision Inspection System to automate ABB’s Flexitest Switch
assembly process.
• Designed, developed and implemented a Data Acquisition and Automated Test System to test fan motors
and flowmeter calibration for the Building Efficiency Test Lab at Johnson Controls.
• Designed, developed and implemented a Functional Test System for Schneider Electric’s 400/600 PIU and PFU
product line.
• Designed, developed and implemented a series of Data Acquisition and Automated Test Systems to test Pneumatic,
Electromechanical, Servo, Fuel, and Hydraulic airplane units for Heico Aerospace.
• Designed, developed and implemented a series of Pulsatile Loop Systems for in-vitro studies for HeartWare, Inc.’s next
generation Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) technology.
Algorithm Development
• Key developer of an algorithm that helps predicts the Aortic Valve State on patients implanted with VAD using only
VAD’s Waveform Signals.
• Key developer of an algorithm that uses LVAD waveform signals to tracks the intervals between beats (n-n
intervals) and converts it to a heart rate indicator for patients implanted with LVAD.
• Key developer of an algorithm that uses LVAD waveform signals and calculates the standard deviation of the
(n-n intervals) obtained in a 5 minute interval and outputs a measure of heart rate variability on patients
implanted with LVAD.
• Key developer of an algorithm that uses slow and fast moving average power relationship to the (15 minute
interval H-VAD Controller Log Files) to minimize VAD patients adverse events and increase quality of life.
• Worked on an algorithm that used the damping ratio of both MVAD & HVAD Back Electromotive Force
(bemf) to invasively calculate the blood viscosity of VAD patients.
• Key developer of an algorithm that uses VAD waveform signals to calculate the amount of work performed
by the VAD relative to the total work by the native heart and VAD on a cardiac cycle basis; minimizing
VAD patients’ adverse events and increasing quality of life.
Market / Clinical Research
• Attended American Society for Artificially Implanted Organs (ASAIO) to evaluate new technologies and discuss early
technology concepts with clinicians.

Quality Systems
• Proven track record of successfully addressing quality concerns through Corrective and Preventative Action
(CAPA) and Non-Conforming Event (NCE) systems.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating efficiently in highly regulated, ISO certified industry. Thorough
knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Parts 11 and 820 and ISO13485.
• Conducted real time investigations of non-conforming issues and events with urgency and efficiency.
Clinical Support / Field Service
• Develop & Support software tools for next generation LVAD’s clinical and preclinical trials.
• Support test and development infrastructure by producing test system for characterization and development of algorithm
for current and next generation Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs).
• Exceeded customer expectation in providing excellent engineering support via remote and onsite troubleshooting and
repair of commercially implanted LVAD.
Post Market Surveillance
• Reviewed complaint records for accuracy, completeness, and reportability for LVAD devices.
• Developed software tools to data mine the (15 minute interval H-VAD Controller Log Files) database and wrote reports to
document investigation results regarding Clinical Adverse Events (CAE) and alleged device malfunctions.
