In the past, creativity has been intimately connected to making the most desirable aesthetic choices. But in today’s challenging context, it is increasingly being put to the task of finding solutions to improve daily life. This season is characterized by the idea of getting close to nature: a major tendency that crosses all categories. Whether the aim is to benefit from its regenerating power or to live at one with is, Nature meets the needs of those seeking adventure and calm alike. We adopt a new humble and creative attitude with the idea of « learning to make do with what we already have » to avoid energy wasting overproduction and to consider transformations, rehabilitations, recontextualizations with inventiveness, resourcefulness and creative flair.

1. — No creativity
without a purpose!
In the past, creativity has been intimately
connected to making the most desirable
aesthetic choices. But in today’s
challenging context, it is increasingly
being put to the task of finding solutions
to improve daily life.
The idea of getting close to nature is a
major tendency this season that crosses
all categories. Whether the aim is to
benefit from its regenerating power or to
live at one with it, Nature meets the needs
of those seeking adventure and calm alike.
The second key idea is “learning to make
do with what we already have”. This is
the basis for a new humble and creative
attitude to combat energy-wasting
overproduction. It’s about exploring
transformation, rehabilitation and
recontextualization with inventiveness,
resourcefulness and creative flair.
Finally, we need to cultivate true artistic
freedom to express charm, surprise,
uniqueness. This spontaneity will make
the useful and the functional more human.

3 4 5 Art breaks free and spreads to
wastelands and rural suburbs: neo-artist
residences are cropping up in places like Folie
Barbizon outside Paris and Grosser Garten near
Berlin. The nomadic artist community lead by
Chinese artist Yi Zheng and British artist Luke
Gray travels the world, presenting their works and
performances along the way.
1 François Perret, pastry chef at the
Ritz in Paris, decided to step out of
his palace and drive across America
in a truck, on a quest for a different
audience. His successful adventure,
produced by Netflix, has completely
changed his approach to his work.
2 During lockdown, famous American
choreographer Ryan Heffington hosted
free-form dance lessons aimed at the
general public called Sweatfests
on Instagram. Boosted by the energy
of the thousands of dance lovers
who chose to participate, he decided
to continue making joyful dance
accessible to everyone.
6 Floriculturist Masami-Charlotte Lavault grows
two hundred species of flowers without using
fertilizers or pesticides in the heart of Paris. She
reinterprets the traditional Japanese floral art of
ikebana, which she sees not as an art of luxury but as
an “expression of happy frugality.”
7 8 9 Self-taught eco-activist star chef Julien
Sebbag rejuvenates “natural” cuisine. Similarly,
chef Anthony Orjollet, who won a Fooding award,
reinterprets socially conscious, healthy cuisine
at his restaurant Elements by cooking local,
gluten-free, sugar-free and lactose-free food
in a punk atmosphere set in an industrial zone.

Ecological and biodynamic farming,
short food circuits, local production:
the young generation is claiming these

Hors les murs
Au sens littéral, les événements en extérieur,

Brilliant second life
Materials and objects get a second wind in a creative remix that shines with shimmering uniqueness.
This patchwork aesthetic is a result of equal parts pure luck and artistic input, and relies
on ingenious sourcing to make each project unique. Nothing is lost, everything
is transformed and deserves a second chance.
