Mountains and unspoiled beaches of the Indian
ocean, in the heart of the Garden Route, lies the
3500 ha Botlierskop Private Game Reserve in the
Western Cape ensuring its visitors of a unique
South African Safari experience.
Our Safari Park is only a 4.5-hour scenic drive from
Cape Town, the Mother City of South Africa,
between Mossel Bay and George.
This malaria free, family owned and privately
operated garden route game lodge is home to an
abundance of animals including 4 of the Big 5, lions,
elephants, buffalo's, giraffes, rhino's, hippos, rare
black impalas and more as well as a unique bird life.
15 luxury air-conditioned tented suite at Botlierskop is elegantly decorated in
a romantic colonial theme with four-poster beds draped with mosquito nets.
The en-suite bathrooms are lavishly equipped with deep baths, outdoor

Aquila Private
Game Reserve
The reserve is a 10,000 hectare conservancy in the
southern Karoo, and home to the big 5 legends of the
wilderness - elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino.
Aquila Game Reserve is recognized as a major Cape Town
tourist attraction. Aquila has been published in the “World’s
21 favourite things to do in Cape Town”, and considered one
of the top 10 daytrip destinations by Sawubona Magazine.
Aquila offers a wide variety of safaris - day trip safaris,
horseback safaris, quad bike safari, overnight and ﬂy-in
safaris. There are other activities on offer like 4 x 4 trails,
ﬁshing and themed weekend breakaways.
There are five premier chalets available. Premier chalets are privately situated and have been built
into the hillside. Each unit has been adorned with alfresco rock showers and indoor fire-places.
The reserve brings the outdoors inside, using earthy tones and decor in browns and beiges, thatch,
slate and rock elements. Special attention has been paid to chalet privacy and unbridled
picture-perfect views of the reserve.

Inverdoorn Game Reserve
In 2012 Inverdoorn became home to the Big 5. Since its inception,
the reserve has re-introduced many of the members into the region
through their conservation efforts. The male lion was rescued from
trophy hunting, while rhinos have a long history at the reserve, with
their conservation led by RhinoProtect. This organisation developed
a horn treatment to ward off poachers, and established an orphanage
for calves victimised by poaching. Free-roaming elephants are also
back, having been eradicated from the area for 150 years.
Driving over the well-beaten track that winds through the reserve,
you may come across any number of animals. Making their way
through the succulent plant life that characterises the ﬂoral diversity
of the Karoo, you will ﬁnd a myriad of antelope such as kudu, eland,
impala, springbok and gemsbok. You will be captivated by the distinct
markings of the zebra and the graceful gait of the giraffe, while the
brute power of the buffalo and the majestic beauty of the Cape
Barbary lion will astound you.
Inverdoorn's prime luxury accommodation option is the five-star Ambassador
Suite. Subtle Asian influences blend with a distinctive South African elegance,
earning the suite its luxury stamp. With splendid views from a private roof
